“From my hotel?” Rebel asked.

Stryker poured himself a whiskey. “Coop?”

“Sure,” Cooper replied before addressing Rebel and Hawk. “No, not your hotel. Danielle and I hired an independent plannerwho came highly-recommended. During our second meeting, Danielle left to take a call and the woman hit on me.”

“Seriously?” Hawk asked.

“That’s low,” Rebel said.

“Prescott Armstrong and Jericho Savage are approaching the front door,” the computer announced.

The door opened. “Yo,” Jericho hollered.

“Kitchen,” Hawk replied.

The guys walked in. After fist bumps and man hugs, Rebel asked, “Do they know this?”

“No,” Cooper replied. “A wedding planner hit on me. When Danielle came back into the meeting, I said, “Babe, the wedding planner wants to meet me for a drink.”

The guys laughed.

“Who the hell does that?” Jericho asked.

“This woman was lowcut dress, boobs out,” Cooper said. “I got a peep show I wasn’t interested in seeing.”

“What did Danielle do?” Prescott asked.

“She’s amazing,” Cooper said. “She said, ‘Yeah, that’s not happening’. When we left, she told me she needed to mark her territory when we got home.”

Another round of laughter filled the room.

“Let me just say it was a good night, allnight,” Cooper said with a grin.

“She handled it well,” Rebel said.

“Danielle’s super cool,” Stryker added.

“Speaking of cool, Brit’s pretty cool,” Cooper said.

“She’s doing a great job playing catch up with the serial killer case,” Rebel said.

Silence.

Then, all five guys cracked up.

Rebel glared at Hawk.

“Wasn’t me, bro,” Hawk said.

“Document it with HR,” Cooper said.

“That’s not gonna happen,” Rebel pushed back.

Cooper squeezed his shoulder. “Why won’t youeverfollow the damn rules?”

“Britt wants to keep things chill.” Rebel sipped the whiskey. “For the record, I’d marry her tomorrow.”

“Whoa, bro, that’s a first,” Jericho said.
