He tossed her a nod. “Rebel.”
“Gotta be a story or two behind that. What’s your real name?”
“Joaquin.”
“Got a last name?”
“Not that I can remember.”
She chuckled.
“Can I buy you a drink?” she asked.
“I’m good, but thanks,” he replied.
“Are you seeing someone?”
“Yes.”
“Is it serious?”
“It’s complicated.”
Is he talking about me?
Another chuckle rolled out of Tina. “Aren’t all relationships? Why don’t we get out of here and you can tell me all about yourcomplicatedrelationship?”
“I’m off the market,” he said.
Wait. What?
“She’s a lucky girl.”
“Goes both ways,” he replied.
“Britain!” someone called out.
Liliana, was waving from across the salon.
Not again.
Rebel moved in front of Brit, draped his arms over her shoulders. “How’s my girl doing?”
She had to touch him, so she caressed his chiseled cheek with the back of her fingers. “I’m not yours.”
But I wish I was.
“How much of that convo did you hear?” he asked.
“Enough to know you’re in a relationship,” Brit replied. “I can’t wait to meet her.”

Joaquin
Rebel chuffed out a laugh, then dropped a light kiss on her lips. “I’m falling in love, darlin’, so I’m off the market.”
