“Yo,” Cooper answered.

“You at home?”

“Yeah.”

“I’m swinging by. Be there in ten.” Stryker walked outside and dialed again.

“Hello, Stryker,” answered Tiana Perry. “How’d it go?”

“Emerson arrested Barnham.”

“Excellent.”

“We need to talk. Can you meet me in forty?”

“Where?”

“That park near your house,” Stryker said. “I’ll text you ten minutes before I get there.” He ended the call and drove to Cooper’s.

Once there, the two friends sat at the kitchen table. “Beer?” Cooper asked.

“I’m good.” Stryker pulled out a bag with two burner phones. “I’m telling you this in confidence.”

“Got it.”

“Doug Easton was undercover with ACPD. Six months ago, his body was found behind a dumpster and his death ruled accidental OD. He’d made inroads with The Trinity.”

Cooper’s eyes widened. “From what little I know about that crime family, no one in law enforcement had made inroads.”

“Doug was Emerson’s brother and she was convinced he was murdered. Together, we got to the truth. His POC was a drug runner named Donny Farraday. He worked for Jimmy Barca who reported to The Father.”

Cooper nodded.

“The Father is Carlo Spinetti.”

Cooper’s eyes widened and he pushed out of his chair. “Seriously? How the hell did we miss that?”

“His daughter, Carla Barnham, and son-in-law, Tee Barnham, were running the drug operation in Florida. When Spinetti went to prison, they had to move up here.”

“You’re blowing my mind.”

“There’s more,” Stryker said. “Emerson and I took out the serial killer.”

“The Wedding Gown Killer?”

“It was Spinetti’s grandson, but he wasn’t in the business. You ready for the kicker?”

“There’smore?”

“Barnham killed my mother.”

Cooper’s mouth dropped open. “What?”

“Barnham is my father—ex-father—Tyler Truman.”

“Holy hell. That is one fucked-up family.”

“Circling back to The Trinity and Spinetti. Barca and Farraday are dead and they confessed before they died. Their full confessions were videoed on their phones.”
