She ripped off her shirt and he eyed her bare breasts. He loved her angry, wanted all of that fury.

Seconds later, they were naked. But it was the intensity in her eyes that turned him into a feral animal. She pulled him on her as she lay on the carpeting. Their mouths found each other, their kisses a fiery combination of bites and agitated strokes. He broke away to take her nipples into his mouth. Within seconds, he had her mewling and writhing.

“I’m on the pill,” she rasped out. “Fuck me.”

He speared her, the euphoria stealing his thoughts and calming his rage. More pleasure than he deserved. He wanted her to have it all, and him none. He didn’t deserve her. But he couldn’t live without her.

“I fucking love you so much,” he murmured as he moved inside her.

“You can’t love me,” she uttered. “No love. Just hard fucking that doesn’t mean a thing.”

He stopped moving inside her. “This isn’t a fling or a thing that lasts for a few years. This is our forever.”

Though she dug her fingernails into his back, the harshness around her eyes vanished. “Don’t say that,” she whispered. “This isn’t supposed to mean anything. This is my goodbye fuck.”

He bit back a smile. He got that she was furious, but behind her anger, he could see the love in her eyes. “Then, we better make it damn good.”

He started moving inside her again and she kissed him. But her kiss was filled with so much love, his heart melded to hers and his soul bound with hers.

She reached between their legs and cradled his balls, sending streams of pleasure through him. He broke the kiss and fondled her breast, teased her nipple with his finger, then with his tongue. Making her happy was all that mattered to him.

“I still hate you,” she whispered.

He smiled. She tried not to, but failed. Her smile filled him with hope. “Loving you is going to kill me,” she said.

“No, it’s not.”

“So cocky.”

He teased the orgasm out of her. And when she shattered beneath him, he let go, allowing the ecstasy to chase away his demons.

They lay together and stared into each other’s eyes for a long time. She was his entire world. When she kissed the tip of his nose, he had been forgiven. And he could breathe again.

“Is there more you need to tell me?” she whispered.

“Only that I adore you. I killed to avenge Doug and I’ll do it again.”

“I’m not looking for revenge,” she replied. “I’m chasing justice.”

Coulda Been Dead

Emerson was mired in turmoil. Her heart and soul were telling her one thing, her mind the exact opposite. She’d fallen in love with a vigilante. She couldn’t un-fall in love with him. She couldn’t erase him from her memory. She couldn’t bring herself to arrest him, either.

In silence, she set the house alarm, then continued to glower at him. “Yes, you’re staying,” she said as they climbed the stairs. “But I’m not happy about it.”

“Angry Emerson is better than no Emerson,” he said.

They went into her bathroom and she turned on the shower. They stepped in, the hot water washing away any remaining evidence of their torrid lovemaking. She loved the intimacy of bathing with him. They’d each pulled their hair up and she appreciated how she could see his face free of his long, wild hair. She traced his thick eyebrows and ran her wet fingers over his whiskered face. When she leaned up and kissed him, he held her tightly in his arms.

She lathered the soap and ran her hands down his deltoids. Hard muscles that didn’t give way to soft fingers. She loved how his gaze never left hers, how his hands were in constant motion whether he was stroking her back or kissing her. She sudsed his chest, his steel abs, his relaxed cock. Then, she knelt and washed his thick, strong thighs and calves. There was no part of him that was off limits to her, no part she didn’t explore. She would enjoy this man for however long she allowed him to stay in her life. And for now, this moment was all she had.

When she finished, he rinsed off, took the bar of soap and created his own lather. Large, sexy hands stroked her body. Back and forth, up and down. There was no part of her that he didn’t touch. They were without limits or borders. Never before had she been so willing to allow someone to know her this intimately.

After she rinsed away the soap, he drew her close. Then, he peered into her eyes and smiled. “You are my forever.”

She wanted to believe that, but she was still too shocked by his admission.
