Shelly collapsed onto the stool beside me with an exhausted groan.

“If one more person asks me if Cozart does private training, I’m clocking out and never returning to Brick & Co Fitness,” Shelly whined.

I laughed, and collapsed next to her, “They don’t want a trainer. They want to see what made that lady bust the window and act a fool. They want to see what the D is hitting like,” I chortled. I felt slightly responsible for the way Cozart’s pussy rating was about to go even higher. If I hadn’t sent that video, hiswife wouldn’t have come up here and gone Waiting to Exhale on his ass. Whoever had recorded the video and posted it had made it viral on social media.

She shook her head, “I looked on social media just to see if we were tripping and the video is definitely on that ATL scoop page. Atlanta is so damn messy. It’s so many women in the comments being thirsty talking about fucking him, he might need a bodyguard to make sure he doesn’t get raped,” Shelly said just as the doors of the gym opened and the devil walked in.

Cozart was carrying his gym bag over one shoulder. Sweat darkened the collar of his T-shirt, and he was looking down at his cell phone smiling like a high school boy who had a crush. It was probably one of his new groupie hoes that I had helped him get. I rolled my eyes in annoyance. A few steps behind him walking with another woman was Ny’Airy. She wore black leggings and an oversized T-shirt with her curls pulled into a high puff. She looked like she had just rolled out of bed and that annoyed me. She didn’t try half as hard as I did.

“Girl, I was about to collapse on that damn hill,” she laughed with another woman as she pulled her phone out of her leggings pocket. Suddenly, she began to laugh loudly as she showed the woman what was on the screen.

“Cozart you are the worst person in the world,” Ny’Airy said through gritted teeth as he turned towards her and laughed deeply.

“How could you record this?” Ny’Airy swatted him on the arm, and he held the spot pretending to be in immense pain.

“I just wanted to show you your progress later. You survived,” Cozart teased as he looked at her the way I looked at him.

“I almost didn’t survive,” she laughed. “Those hill sprints almost took me out and here you are with video evidence.”

“You know he loves to make a video,” Shelly muttered under her breath shadily and I laughed fakely and hit hands with her like his interaction with Ny’Airy wasn’t burning me up inside.

“I told you it gets easier and you are already further than you were just last week,” he assured her as he laughed. It was a real laugh, not the fake customer service one he gave members. The sound floated through the lobby. I hated how easily she pulled it out of him. They seemed to be the only two people in the room. He reached over and bumped her shoulder with his, and she bumped him back. Their interaction looked easy, natural, and comfortable. Like two people who genuinely enjoyed being around each other. Something ugly twisted inside my chest.

Shelly smiled as she watched them walk past the desk and towards his office while everyone else dissipated.

“They are so adorable,” she sighed.

I nearly snapped my neck turning toward her.

“You think they are together? You heard some tea that I haven’t heard about?” I questioned.

“No definitely not. They aren’t like boyfriend and girlfriend. They are clearly just friends. He has pulled her out of her shell, and she doesn’t look like that same sad person that started. She’s healing,” Shelly said proudly as she watched Ny’Airy walk to the back. I fought the urge to make the vomiting noise. I didn’t want to hear shit about friendship. That’s how it always started. Confiding in each other, getting lunch together turned into having dinner, that turned into dates. I knew that game, and I was too mature to play it. Cozart and I didn’t startoff as friends because I don’t have to friendzone myself to get a nigga’s attention unlike weak ass Ny’Airy.

“She better not heal too hard around Co because he’s going to break her in two like he’s done all the rest of them,” I said as I began wiping down the counter, pretending I didn’t care. My phone buzzed and it was right on time. Retail therapy sounded a whole lot better than watching Cozart and Ny’Airy and their fake ass friendship. I slipped my phone out of my pocket and noticed there was another notification from Chase.

“Hey, Shelly. Watch the front for me for a few minutes. I’m gonna run to my car.”

“Go ahead,” she said.

I grabbed my purse and headed outside. The evening air felt cool against my skin and the sun had finally set. The parking lot was empty, aside from a few cars sprinkled throughout. I walked past the juice bar next door and pulled at the handle to see if it was open. I could really go for a Late-Night Hookups. It had a silly name, but it was a pomegranate, and cranberry juice, with fruit sliced in it. It was my favorite drink on the menu. The door was locked and I looked up in the corner to see the closed sign flipped around. It had a clock saying he would return in thirty minutes. I sighed and walked away over into the rows of cars.

I noticed a slight movement from the corner of my eye, and I noticed a car rocking. My eyes went wide as I dialed 911 assuming someone’s car was being broken into. I held my hand over the green call button but didn’t press it, as I stooped to get a closer look. The car was actually a jeep, and it was Brick’s Porsche. I walked on the other side, staying crouched to the ground, but I didn’t see anyone outside of it.

“What the hell is she doing in there?” I muttered to myself as I walked over to the car and lifted slightly. Her windows weretinted, so I had to lean in and place my hands above my eyes to block the light behind me. In the backseat, Brick lay with her legs wide open, and Zumo was crouched down with his face in her pussy. He was shirtless, and you could see his muscles, and tattoos. I bit my bottom lip and held my knees together tightly to keep my pussy from throbbing violently as I watched him eat her pussy passionately.

He held her legs in his hands and took his time like neither of them had anywhere better to be. Watching him eat her pussy made me yearn for my best eater. I had been ignoring Cozart because he kept asking me about the pregnancy but maybe it was time to call him. I snuck away from the car and walked through the rows until I found my jeep. I climbed inside, locked the doors, and leaned my seat back. I smiled as I pulled out my phone and went over to Louis Vuitton’s website. I wanted the new luggage, a few bottles of perfume, and a few bags. If today had taught me anything, it was that revenge deserved a reward.

After filling my cart with all of the things I wanted, the balance came out to twelve thousand dollars. I went over to the banking app so I could get the digital card and the smile slowly disappeared from my face. I blinked quickly as my stomach fell down into my ass. I refreshed the screen four times, and each time the balance showed the same thing.

“No,” I groaned as I refreshed it again. Every bit of excitement I’d been carrying around all day evaporated in an instant. I stared at the screen, trying to convince myself I was looking at the wrong account. I logged out and used Ny’Airy’s credentials to log back in, and nothing changed. The balance was showing negative four dollars and twenty-five cent. Every cent had been wiped out of the system including a few extra dollars that weren’t even available in the account.

I went over to my notifications, and I felt sick to my stomach, the alert from earlier was a notification from Chase bank saying that the wire transfer from Ny’Airy Buckle to Ajibola Akinfenwa was complete.

“THAT SCAMMING BASTARD!” I screamed at the top of my lungs and banged the steering wheel angrily. AK had fucked me good, put me to sleep with his big horse dick, and went through my manilla folder. He hadn’t taken anything, so I assumed he had gone away quietly. He had probably taken pictures of all my files while I was drooling on the pillow.

“YOU DUMB BITCH HOW COULD YOU TRUST HIM?” I yelled at myself as I placed my head in my hands praying that he wasn’t about to do worst damage than this. I had a method of doing shit that ensured I flew under the radar, but this nigga had no loyalties to Brick & Co, so nothing was off limits. He could create fake accounts for every person in that folder and it never come back on him.

“This shit is about to blow up in your face, your best bet is to turn in your resignation letter, leave your condo, and get the hell out of Atlanta before you end up in jail,” I said to myself angrily. To hell with Cozart, Ny’Airy, and Brick & Co. I needed to leave!
