“I have been with a few women Lilly and you called out in ecstasy, you don’t fool me. I was checking that you didn’t need any help for a second round,” He said and chuckled at his directness, he knew what he was doing and wished he could see her face to see the blush that would undoubtedly be there.

“No need Elijah, thanks for the offer, you’re very generous but I honestly did think I saw a spider,” she lied again, praying that he didn’t ask her what she was thinking about when she had her orgasm, seeing as he wasn’t buying her excuse of calling out. She repeated the lie because she was too embarrassed to admit the truth.

Chapter Sixteen

Lilly walked back into the morning room fully dressed to find Elijah sprawled on the sofa reading one of her books. She walked over, snatched the book out of his hands and placed it on the floor. Elijah looked at her, growled slightly and reached for the book again.

“Ouch,” he said. “What was that for?” he asked.

Lilly slapped the back of his hand a second time when he reached for her book, and he glared at her hand and grabbed the hairbrush that was in it. Lilly watched as the hairbrush sailed through the air across the room and land with a clatter in the corner. She knew she’d gone a little too far, but he was reading her favourite book, Little Women. She didn’t want him to bend the spine or fold the corners over.

“That’s my favourite book,” she said and turned her back to him while she sat on the edge of the sofa. She could feel the warmth of his thigh against her bottom and wriggled a little to get a bit more comfortable and a little closer to him.

“You could have fooled me, it’s pristine. Looks like you’d never opened it.”

“That’s how I like them to be,” she said a little too haughtily and folded her arms.

Being so near to Elijah, Lilly felt the heat cover her body, she’d orgasmed less than thirty minutes ago and she was ready to go again. She wanted him but had no idea if he genuinely wanted her or was just flirting and fooling around. She sat there and sulked for a few minutes, neither of them saying a word. She could feel him moving from his quiet laughter at her pouting. She turned and went to slap his thigh, but he caught her wrist and pulled her so that she was flush on top of him. Lilly struggled to move, he had his legs entwined with hers.

Her lips were so close to his, she could feel his warm breath on her cheek. Closing her eyes to absorb his heat, she felt Elijah’s lips on her neck, slowing kissing the skin just under her ear. Lilly groaned her approval and pressed closer still into his body. Elijah wrapped his arm around her waist and switched them around so that she lay beneath him. Instinctively she parted her legs to allow Elijah to settle himself and get comfortable.

Elijah looked down on Lilly’s face and admired her beauty, she was stunning and he wanted her badly. He was sure that she could feel how much he wanted her, but he didn’t care, he was about to demonstrate how much he wanted her.

Leaning in, Elijah kissed Lilly deeply. She was ready for him and opened her mouth to welcome his tongue. That first touch of his warm wet tongue sent a shiver straight between her legs. Raising her hips slightly and circled them once into Elijah’s hips. She wanted him too and right now.

Elijah slid his right hand down and he carried on kissingLilly deeply and found his way under her t-shirt to her right breast. She gasped as he pinched her nipple through her bra and pulled her face to the side to catch her breath.

Opening her eyes her unfocused eyes saw a shadow move in the room.

“Move off me Elijah,” she said and tried to shove him off her but he was a dead weight and he was not moving.

“Not a chance, I want to take my time with you.”

“Get off me Elijah, there’s someone else here, I just saw a shadow move pass the door.”

“Don’t be ridiculous, we would have heard them, even over your moaning.”

Lilly slapped his arm and pinched his ribs to get him to move. He reluctantly moved off her and rolled off the sofa and onto the floor with a groan.

“This is not what I had in mind Lilly, come down here and join me,” he invited with a slow smile that made her melt.

“Just let me check out the place first,” Lilly said.

Elijah got up from his flat-out position and stood upright, stretching up and giving her a fantastic view of his toned V muscle and a peek at his tattoo up close. Reaching out her hand to touch the red ink she found he was no longer within touching distance. Frowning she looked up and saw his face had clouded over.

Had she upset him? She wasn’t sure.

“I’ll check the place out for you while you stay in here,” Elijah announced and stalked off out of the room.

Looking around, she wondered about the drugs she’d been forced to take and what kind of damage they had done to her. She had never taken drugs before and was not used to feeling this groggy, even after drinking large quantities of vodka. Sitting there in a daze she hadn’t noticed Elijahcome back into the room and sat down next to her. It wasn’t until she felt his hand in hers that she came back to her senses.

“Where were you sweetheart, I called your name a few times?” He asked gently.

“I don’t know, I must have spaced out, I’m feeling a bit tired. Maybe I should take a nap.” She got up, she soon fell back down on the sofa again with a thud.

“Lilly, your body, needs to recover, all that exertion in the shower has worn you out,” he said and winked at her.

Lilly didn’t have time to slap him as he had lifted her up in his arms and asked for directions to her bedroom. She circled her arms around his neck and didn’t complain at the sheer laziness of her not walking the twenty or so steps to the bedroom. She rather liked being carried, and it seemed chivalrous of him to carry her.
