Wow!
Clara’s gaze flew to Zane who looked as stunned as she felt. He winked and grinned at her.Holy crap! She’d share a kiss with Zane like that anytime. Anywhere. Yum!
“Doesn’t anyone in this house sleep in?” she asked, half joking.
“Nope. Not when my woman leaves me in bed alone. Missed you babe.” Noah pecked Wren on the cheek, slid into the chair beside her and slid his arms around her waist.
“Let me help with breakfast,” Zane blurted at the same time Clara exclaimed, “Pancakes. I’ll make pancakes.”
They looked at each other and laughed awkwardly.
“Let me help with those pancakes,” Zane offered.
“The coffee should be ready now. Why don’t you two lovebirds head into the dining room. I’ll bring muffins in a minute.” She prayed they’d leave before things got even more awkward.
Once the other couple was gone, Clara huffed out a breath. “Wow.”
“Awkward much?” Zane whispered, his lovely peacock blue eyes sparkling.
“Yeah, but their love is evident and sweet.” She wanted that someday, not that she’d mention her inner desires. “They seem well suited to each other.” Not like her and Zane. She didn’t have his high IQ; he’d never be happy with a girl like her.
