“I thought we should talk.”

I sunk my teeth into her shoulder, enjoying her sharp intake of breath. “What do you want to talk about?”

“I can’t remember what I was going to say.”

“You’re divorced.” I traced her bottom lip with my tongue, before placing a firm kiss to her mouth. “You’re free to be mine.”

“But …” She whimpered when I sucked her lip into my mouth. “Oh God.”

“Unless you’re telling me no,” I kissed the corners of her mouth, “I don’t think there’s anything left to say.”

She cupped my jaw in her hand. “There are so many things that need to be said.”

“Like?”

“First, I’m happy I’m not married to Rod anymore.”

“Good.”

She sucked in a deep breath. “But I’d be lying if I told you I wasn’t scared of this thing between us. It’s big. Hot and heavy. All-consuming. And I don’t want to get hurt.”

The vulnerability in her brown eyes made my heart clench in my chest. Because I would never intentionally hurt her. “I don’t want you scared. I want you happy.” I rested my forehead against hers. “Letmemake you happy.”

“I have walls. They’re tall and wide. I’m good at keeping them up. I have so much baggage that I?—”

I placed my forefinger against her mouth. “I don’t need a history lesson on you. I’ve seen the parts of you that you think are ugly. Which is crazy to me because your past, your tenacity, your bravery in spite of everything stacked against you … You see flaws, but I see beauty.”

Her shoulders fell on a sigh. “You’re good at this.”

“I know what I want.”

“Spence,” she slowly unbuttoned my shirt, “I want you to take me out on a date.”

I lifted a brow. “Is that all you want?”

Once she’d freed the last button, she slid my shirt off and smoothed her hand over my chest. “No. Before that, I want something else.” She unbuckled my belt, unzipped my pants, and pushed them off. “Remember when you told me you’d give me anything I needed?”

I nodded. “I meant it.”

Spinning around, she glanced back at me over her shoulder. “Help me out? Unzip me.”

The sound of her zipper echoed in the office as my heart pounded loudly in my ears. Every inch of her brown skin was perfect.Shewas perfect. “So beautiful,” I murmured against the nape of her neck.

When I finished, she turned to face me. “I need something, and only you can give it to me.”

I snaked my arm around her waist, lifting her up. “Tell me what you need.”

The corners of her mouth quirked up. “You read the list. I need a nigga,” she slipped her hand into my boxers and squeezed my erection, “with a long, hard dick.” She bit down on her lip. “Very impressive.”

Shit.I carried her over to my desk and gently set her down. “I told you I got you.”

Standing over her, I stared at her, letting my gaze roam over her bare skin. I feathered my fingers over her stomach, up to the front clasp of her bra. With my eyes on hers, I unhooked the latch. The black lace fell open, giving me my first glimpse of her breasts.Perfect. I bent to take one taut nipple in my mouth, sucking it while pinching the other with my fingers.

She purred. “Yes.”

I tugged at the bottom of her jumpsuit, pulling it off and revealing her matching panties. I dragged my hands over her skin, down the waistband of her underwear. Her legs drifted apart, her unspoken request loud and clear. And I wanted to give her what she needed. Without warning, I ripped her panties off, smirking when her breath hitched.

“Spence,” she groaned.
