My mouth fell open, before I snapped it shut again. “I didn’t…” I hugged the pillow. “We didn’t do it.”
“Oh, I know.” Dallas waved a dismissive hand. “You weren’t even in there that long.”
“Shit,” Blake snorted, “it doesn’t take long to get down. Especially when you haven’t had good dick in years. All he would have to do is touch it.”
I hit Blake in the head with the pillow. “Girl!”
“I’m just sayin’.” She giggled. “I don’t know how you did it, chile. I could barely last six months.”
Cracking up, I said, “That was self-imposed, ma’am.” Blake had put herself on punishment from yak and dick a while ago. But then, she met Lennox and all bets were off. “And now you’re happily engaged so it worked out.”
“Engaged but not getting married any time soon,” Bliss added with a hard glare toward Blake.
“We’re not talking about me right now,” Blake mumbled.
Dallas arched a brow. “Well…? Demi?”
“It was a mistake, but I did it on purpose.”
“What?” They all said simultaneously.
“He told me that nothing happened between him and Chastity. Then, he kissed me again. I told him not to kiss me anymore, then I kissed him.” I sighed heavily. “Then, he stuck his hand in my pants,” I grumbled under my breath.
“I told you!” Dallas stood and held out her hand.
Bliss took off her earrings and gave them to Dallas. “Shoot. I love those earrings.”
Dallas twerked. “I know my sis. Thanks for the earrings. They’ll go good with my rehearsal outfit.”
Bliss fumed in the corner. “I hate you.”
“I love you,” Dallas chirped. Turning to me, she said, “Okay, so the real issue here is not that Duke stuck his hand in your pants. It’s that youwantedhim to do it. Correct?”
I nodded. “I did. But I don’t know why.”
“Uh… he’s fine?” Blake said. “He’s my brother, but I know a fine-ass man when I see one.”
“But he’s Duke,” I argued.
Blake rolled her eyes. “So. You spent years crushing on my ashy-mindset brother, Tristan.”
Dallas barked out a laugh. “You’re so wrong for that, Sissy.”
“There’s always another woman,” I told them. “Did you see Chastity’s ass at breakfast? All over him.”
“And yo’ ass was ready to climb over that table and stab her,” Dallas giggled, “with a damn butter knife.”
I couldn’t even believe my own behavior. I’d never chosen violence in any of my relationships. “See! That’s exactly what I’m talking about. A few hot makeout sessions and I’m ready to slice someone up.”
“Even Ma noticed,” Bliss admitted.
Mortified, I gasped. “What?”
Shaking her head, Bliss added, “It’s okay, though. It was a good thing.”
“Yeah.” Blake took another shot. “Becausethatcoupled with the whole Sunday School lesson thing threw her off her game. She didn’t even make her goal with the cussing jar.”
Dallas took over. “Totally forgot to collect our coins.”
