“Yes.” I squeezed her thigh.

“Great. Now, you can take me home and show me how happy you are?”

After we said quick goodbyes, we rushed out. It took less than twenty minutes to get to her place and only two minutes to get her clothes off once we were inside.

“Take these off,” I commanded, hooking a finger into the waistband of her black lace panties.

Blake pouted. “I’d rather you do it.”

I shook my head. “Nah, I want you to do it. Slowly.”

She turned around, glancing at me over her shoulder. “How slow?”

“Very.” She flashed a wicked smirk and took her time removing her panties while I dropped my pants and pulled off my shirt. Spinning her around, I dropped to my knees and brushed her clit with my thumb. When she cried out for more, I sucked it into my mouth. It didn’t take her long to come and when she did, her knees buckled. But I didn’t let her fall.I’ll never let her fall.

A smile spread over her face as she purred contently. “I love your type of trouble, Professor Cole.”

AndIloved when she called me Professor. “Turn around,” I ordered softly. “Bend over.”

Her hooded eyes met mine and she turned, bending over the couch. I smacked her butt again. Slipping a condom on, I stepped into her, held my dick at her entrance, and pushed my way in. I closed my eyes, loving the feel of her around me. We fit together, as if she was created just for me.

“Please,” she breathed. “Lennox.”

I’d intended to take my time with her, to enjoy her body a little longer. But my need for her wouldn’t let me. Instead of slow and tender, our lovemaking was hot and hard, frenzied and fast. I couldn’t get enough of her, of her taste, of her smell, of her voice. And when she came with my name on her lips, I let go, coming so long and so hard I nearly took us both down to the floor.

I rested my head on her back, struggled to catch my breath. After a few minutes, I scooped her up in my arms and carried her to the bedroom. I set her on the bed and climbed in behind her, pulling her close to me.

She kissed my nose, then my mouth. “I’m so sleepy.”

I’m so in love. The realization hit me like a brick. But there was no other explanation for how I felt, how she made me feel. Just being with her tonight had cemented it. My parents had often told us about how patient and kind love was, how all-encompassing it was. And despite their example, I’d never really connected with the idea of unconditional love. It had always felt too big, so impossible to attain. But Blake…our relationship was bigger than my doubts. And I wanted to feel it, I wanted to give in to it and make her mine. Forever.

Blake

It was official, waking up next to Lennoxwasmy favorite thing to do. And I’d done just that almost every morning since he’d made me call him mymore than a friend. That was almost a month ago, and we’d continued to speed past the point of no return.

Lennox was like a drug. Being with him gave me a high I’d never experienced before. I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t see anything but him. I was addicted to him, lost in him. It had taken over everything, had me doing shit I’d never done like spending the night, cooking dinner, and answering calls even when I didn’t feel like it.

I felt stuck, torn between runningfromhim and runningtohim. But my desire for him had surpassed any notion of walking away completely. I just wanted more. Which was why I needed to take a step back, to clear my mind from the Lennox Fog that had taken over my life. It didn’t take long to convince my sisters and my mother that we needed a girl’s weekend, so as soon as I saw my last client, we were hopping on a flight to Cali.

Yet, even though I’d initiated the trip, I felt guilty. I hadn’t told Lennox I was leaving. Not after we’d made love this morning, not after we’d eaten breakfast together, and not after he’d brought me lunch an hour ago. I knew I was wrong, and I was going to tell him. Really. Before I left.I promise.

“Blake?”

I glanced at the couple in front of me. Granted, I’d checked out of the last fifteen minutes of our session, but I’d already heard enough to make my assessment.

Leaning back in my chair, I crossed my legs. “Please don’t take this personal, but you ain’t shit. I’ve been listening to you for an hour, blaming your wife for your shortcomings.”

Frowning, Mr. Howard shifted in his seat. “Excuse me?”

Every once in a while, I had a client who really got on my damn nerves, someone who made me want to fight them. Mr. Howard was that guy, and today I had time to tell him what an asshole he was. “Sounds like you’re the one with the problem. You work all day, sleep all night. You don’t take your wife anywhere other than the grocery store. You hate everything she cooks, you hate her family, and her kids. You can’t fuck, don’t suck…what the hell are you good for? Why are you still there? Hell, why are you even here? You’re obviously not that interested in your wife, so why don’t you do everyone a favor and leave?”

Fuming, Mr. Howard jumped up and pointed at me. “I don’t have to listen to this, Blake Young. And I will be telling your father.”

I shrugged. “Good. Tell him I’ll be over later for dinner.”

Pivoting on his heel, Mr. Howard stomped out of the office and slammed the door.

Glancing at his wife, I said, “I’m sorry, Auntie. Excuse my language, but I just couldn’t take it anymore.”
