“I am.”

The woman clapped. “Oh my God. I used to watch you onAll of Our Livesyears ago.”

Andrew chuckled. “Told you,” he muttered under his breath.

“Oh, yes.” Paige shook the woman’s hand. “That was me. My first big job.”

“I loved your character. I was so mad when they had you die in that explosion.” The woman shook her head, a sad look in her blue eyes. “I wish you could come back.”

“Aw, thank you,” Paige said. “I appreciate your kind words.”

“Can we take a selfie?” The woman held up her cell phone. “My book club will never believe I met you.”

“Sure. Do you want my boyfriend to take the picture?”

The woman looked at Andrew. “Do you mind?”

“Not at all,” he said, a soft smile on his face.

Paige wrapped an arm around the woman and smiled. Andrew took one serious pic and one silly pic. When they finished, the woman thanked her and rushed off.

“This is why I love you,” Andrew said against her ear.

She smiled. “Because I take good pictures?”

“No, because you’re genuine, kind, and beautiful. You made that woman’s year. You’re amazing.”

Paige’s heart opened up as his words rolled through her. “Thank you.” She kissed him. “You’re pretty awesome, too.”

He squeezed her hand. “Let’s pay for yourdessertand go back to the house.”

As they stood in the checkout line, Paige glanced at the magazine rack, eyeing the crazy tabloid headlines. But one in particular caught her eye.

JULIUS REEVES FACING UP TO80YEARS IN PRISON

AFTER MORE WOMEN COME FORWARD.

Even more eye-catching was the caption under the picture of a haggard-looking Julius ducking his head as he entered the courthouse:

CATHERINE DAVIS CALLS OFF THE WEDDING.

Paige shared a glance with Andrew. He shrugged and she grinned. No words were needed. Julius would get what he deserved for being a horrible person.

He paid the cashier and grabbed the bag. “Let’s go.”

Back at the house, Paige was giddy at the prospect of gooey marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate. “I’m so happy. I can eat two s’mores.” She pulled the package out of the paper bag and opened it. “It’s cheat day,” she sang, doing a little twerk.

Andrew snatched the bag away from her and tossed it behind her. Marshmallows flew everywhere. Before she could ask him why, he tugged her to him and kissed her. Hard.

“No, baby. S’mores are for later.”

Her mouth fell open. “Later?”

“Oh, yeah.” He lifted her in his arms, and she wrapped her legs around his waist. “We have unfinished business. Remember? Hard surface.”

Paige burst out in a fit of giggles. “Drew, you’re crazy.” Her head fell back as he trailed a line of wet kisses down her neck. “But I love it when you’re crazy,” she whispered. “After this, s’mores. Okay?”

“No problem.”
