He kissed me like no other man had, like I was a precious treasure.
His touches were soft yet powerfully enticing.
His body pressed deliciously against mine and was hard in all the right places, not overbearing or forceful.
He swept me off my feet and made me feel like I was being kissed for the first time. Any touch from another man vanished as they held no candle to him. Boden officially ruined me as no one else would ever compare; that much I was confident.
In hindsight, I knew I’d been careless with my heart in the past, guilty of looking for intimacy with the wrong people, surrendering myself to the knowledge it was a made-up fairy tale that only existed in movies and romance novels. But with Boden, my faith in finding that all-encompassing feeling had not only been restored but had also been reinvigorated. I realized that when you find the right person that makes you want to surrender yourself to the feeling you’ve chased your whole life, the reward is nothing short of sublime.
“Kissing you is easily my new favorite thing,” he murmured against my skin as his lips moved to my ear. “The sweet taste of your lips, your scent, everything about you is absolutely, unequivocally addicting that I nearly forgot I got you something earlier.”
“Hmm?” I questioned in a lust-induced haze.
Boden pulled open a drawer in the kitchen island that looked like a junk drawer based on the miscellaneous clutter inside and removed an item wrapped in kraft paper and secured with white twine string.
“Come with me.”
We stepped out onto the back patio, where he led me over to the area where he had the couches set up.
“A little ambiance,” he said as he ignited the flames in the fire table.
“You’ve got the perfect setup going on back here.” The backyard was an extension of his home, with elements of his craftsmanship skills peppered throughout.
“It’s my little slice of heaven, but I have to say having you here takes it to another level.” Boden leaned into me, brushing his lips subtly up my neck until he playfully nipped at the skin under my ear.
“Such a charmer.”
“No, I only speak the truth.”
I looked up into Boden’s whiskey-hued eyes that shimmered with an intensity that matched the flames coming from the fire and breathed nervously. “Thank you for being patient with me.”
His fingers swept down the side of my face coming to rest when his thumb edged across my bottom lip. “When you find someone worth spending time with, just being in their company is enough.”
“Sadly, we both know life is cruel and can be cut short.”
“True. However, that just means we need to use our time wisely.”
“Agreed.” I smiled, pressing my lips against his, surrendering to the euphoric feeling I forever wanted to chase.
“Hmm, what are you doing to me?”
“Likely the same thing you’re doing to me,” I murmured.
“In essence, yes, but”—kiss—“right now your delectable lips”—kiss—“are distracting me something fierce.”
“And that’s a sudden problem because?”
“I’ve got something to give you.”
“I have all I need right here.” My hands tightened around his neck as I felt brazen.
He groaned. “Is that so?”
“Mm-hmm.” Now that I’d taken the leap, I found him equally addicting, and this unbridled desire pooling in my core left me off-balance but in the best way possible.
“I want to hear your words, beautiful.” He breathed across my lips. “I want to know what you’re thinking in that pretty head of yours.”
With my eyes closed, he shifted slightly and leaned his forehead against mine. My heart raced merrily away like it was the most normal thing in the world, and I just wanted to revel in how he made me feel.
