Wearing a fucking mask.

It was black, completely covering her face, with neon pink exes for eyes and matching cross stitches over her mouth.

And somehow, despite the fact that she looked like she’d stepped straight out of a slasher film and into my nightmares, I knew exactly who it was.

Maybe it was the way she stood — all confidence and mischief, legs planted like she owned the entire goddamn garage.

Maybe it was her braids spilling from the mask, or the curve of her body, impossible to mistake even under the dim fluorescent lights.

Or maybe it was the black wrist splint strapped to one arm, sleek and low-profile, like she’d found the goth, Halloween-approved version of the medical one she’d been wearing.

Jesus Christ.

She was dressed in some barely there excuse for a costume that looked a hell of a lot more like expensive lingerie than anything you’d buy in a plastic package at Party City. Black lace clung to her like it had been poured over her body, all dainty lines and wicked little cutouts, with sheer panels that showed just enough skin to make my brain short-circuit. A tiny skirt barely skimmed the tops of her thighs, and her heels were liquid black and sky high.

In her good hand, she held a baseball bat, the end of it resting against the concrete before she slowly lifted it and slung it over her shoulder like she was deciding whether to seduce me or cave my skull in.

Then, she tilted her head.

And crooked one finger at me.

A laugh punched out of me before I could stop it, sharp and disbelieving as I threw the Bronco into park.

“What the fuck,” I muttered to myself, dragging a hand down my jaw.

Because I genuinely couldn’t decide if I should be turned on or absolutely terrified.

Unfortunately for me, the answer was both.

At her insistence, I put the car in drive again and parked in the parking spot she’d waved me into — one wedged betweentwo large, lifted trucks. As soon as I was parked, she stopped at my bumper for a second before hopping in the passenger seat. She leaned the bat against her door, the butt of it by her feet.

And then she revealed a second mask.

It matched hers, except the exes and cross-stitching were blue. She let it dangle off her finger, and I didn’t have to be able to see her face to know she was pinning me with a wicked grin.

“I’m guessing this is on the list?”

She nodded, not saying a word, like she didn’t want to spoil the role play by breaking the illusion.

With a smirk, I swiped the mask from her finger, shaking my head at it before I pulled it over my face.

I could still see her, though now it was through a blue neon and black fabric haze. She held her finger by her mouth like she’d be biting it with satisfaction if the mask wasn’t in the way. I laughed.

I knew car sex was on her list, but I hadn’t expected it quite like this.

I looked around us even as my heart kicked up its pace in anticipation. “We need to be careful,” I said. “This is close to the stadium and my license plate—”

She held up her phone wordlessly, showing me a photo of my license plate covered by a thick black cloth.

The trucks on either side of us served as a barrier almost as good as a wall.

It was still risky, but it was a calculated risk — and something about the fact that she’d gone through all those precautions formehad me harder than the sight of her in lingerie.

Emily took her time crawling across the console, like she wanted to exaggerate every move knowing I couldn’t see her face. She used her nails to tap and drag and tease, arching her back and poking her ass up to give me the most insane view — especially with that mask in my face.

I groaned at the sight — the swell of her breasts framed with lace, her ass peeking out under her skirt, her heels propped up on the seat. I couldn’t kiss her with these masks between us, so I used my hands, reaching out to help her climb into my lap and making sure she didn’t use her injured arm.

“You are a very naughty girl,” I praised, running my knuckles down the side of her face. She leaned into the touch like a cat, all while her fingernails dragged down my chest and slid between us.
