“Don’t listen to him!” Buck yells. “We’re all going to die here!”

“Hush.” Dropping to my knees, I pull on gloves and test the knife I’ve been sharpening on his knot. It gets stuck on the thickest part of the disgusting skin, and I can see that he hasn’t been showering well. The smegma is chunky, and the cheese-like substance smells foul. Fucking gross!

Gagging, I shake my head in disbelief as I manage to get it free.

“Go on ahead,” I gasp. “It’s so gross. Don’t look!”

“Fuck. Buck, you have so many more problems than I originally thought. Weren’t you taught how to wash, or are you too busy getting high? Briar and Jude, are you ready?”

“Whoever blows his head off gets an orgasm,” I say distractedly, shoving the knot into Buck’s mouth. “Where’s the staple gun? Can someone grab it from my bag please?”

Jude hands it to me, and then Atlas is releasing Mitch, though he waits until our omegas each have a bag of fireworks slung over their shoulders.

“Do you have the lighters?” I yell as they run.

“Yes, Mom!” they yell back, brandishing their lighters as they each grab a cherry bomb.

I chuckle while I hold Buck’s jaw closed so he can’t spit his knot out, barely flinching when they throw their fireworks at Mitch.

“They grow up so fast,” I sigh happily, taking the staple gun and beginning to use it on Buck’s face.

The cherry bombs explode loudly, and Mitch screams like a baby when they both hit him.

“Herd him away from the fence!” Atlas calls out, grinning as Jude cuts off Mitch’s escape.

“You’re all fucking insane!” Mitch wails.

“Come on, play our game, and maybe you’ll win,” I cajole, glancing down at my staple job once I’m done. “You look like a fucked up version of Frankenstein, Buck.”

“Mmm mm mmm!” he screams, making me giggle. His eyes speak of murder he’ll never be able to commit, and I leave him to have knot breath while I check on my omegas.

“Come here, Chickie, Chickie,” Briar calls out, throwing another lit firework at Mitch.

He decides to attempt to scale the fence, but when Atlas removed his pants, shoes also were tossed aside. It’s not the easiest to climb a fence this way, and he shudders when the firework hits his neck. Falling back, he tries to cover his face as Jude drops a cherry bomb on him, but instead the dumbass ends up catching it.

The explosion showers Briar and Jude’s faces with blood despite how far away they were standing, and Mitch’s face is blown off.

“Hazzah!” I cheer, giggling as they jog back, blood spattered and happy. “The floor is yours, Briar. I’m going to start the pyre with Atlas. Whichever one of them is still alive can be thrown onto the fire for his sins.”

“Now you’re throwing down a challenge,” Briar smirks, dropping to her knees. Atlas takes the stake that Mitch was attached to before and uses it on Buck’s ankles.

His beady little eyes said he wanted to kick Briar, despite the mess that’s between his legs currently. Opportunistic little shit.

“I’ll sit with her,” Jude says, holding Buck down when he starts to move around. “You’re going to die either way, Buck. They’re both going to be fun for us.”

Briar shoves the knife now in her hands up through his belly button, and begins slicing upward at a disturbingly slow pace. She’s showing us that she’s in control, and that she’s determined for him to burn. Ricky’s eyes are glazed over as he bleeds outfrom the wounds on his legs, but my bet is he’ll also die by fire today.

Walking to the back porch, I see the crates that Jude mentioned, and begin to drag them out while Atlas handles the firewood. While it takes some time to build, the fire lights up the backyard well as the sun begins to set.

Colorado still has bonfires happening, so the fire shouldn’t really bother anyone. It’s just as well that everyone is also tuning out any screaming they may hear. I fucking love this town.

Walking over to check on Briar, I find her covered in blood with an evil and determined grin on her face. Buck is still hanging on to his miserable life, and she’s indeed cut him from belly button to sternum. His guts are spilled out over his body, and his eyes are full of horror.

“Bad men deserve terrible endings,” I coo. “Maybe in the next one, you’ll find redemption. We don’t fucking care if you’re sorry now.”

“I bet he’s just upset that he got caught,” Briar rasps. The sky still has enough light for her to see, and Jude has a flashlight at his thigh in case she needs it. “In his eyes, alphas are never punished.”

“Well that isn’t going to fly today. You’re doing a really good job keeping him alive, baby. Are you doing pretty art on his skin?” I ask.
