NINETEEN
KELLY
My hands shake as I grip the steering wheel. Not from nerves, but from excitement.
That I'll soon be able to show Zac, and tell him again, and again, that I love him, will be like winning gold at the Clio advertising awards.
On pulling to a stop in the driveway at home, and Zac parking next to me a second later, I decide it will be even better. The glint in his eye says I'm in for more fun than I ever had at any of those awards' dinners.
And all without shoehorning myself into a dress I hate, too. It's thinking about some horrors I've worn over the years that has me realizing something.
I'm still wearing my gorgeous alien costume. Focused as I have been on Zac's professions of love, I've been living inside my head ever since. I run my hands down the flowing skirts, the fabric silky to the touch.
Yep, better than any stupid awards dinner.
Zac stalks around the back of his truck, the space suit doing nothing to hide that he's as ready for me as I am for him. Walking backwards, I beckon him on, with him growling in response.
This has me squealing in delight before spinning and racing for the front steps. While it might seem as if I'm trying to escape, nothing could be further from the truth.
He catches up with me next to the front door, taking over putting the key in the lock, my trembling hands not up to the task. And anyway, I've got better things to do with my hands.
"You keep that up, sweetheart, and I'm gonna be taking you on the stairs."
I'm still deciding whether this would bother me when he opens the door, slamming it against the wall in his haste to get inside. There's no missing the crunch of the door handle hitting the drywall.
"Don't worry. I'll fix it."
He tosses my keys on the hall console, before slamming the front door with as much enthusiasm as he'd opened it. While the frosted glass panel rattles, it doesn't shatter. Meanwhile, I'm close to it.
A second later and my world is turned upside down when Zac bends and tosses me fireman-style over his shoulder. Him then putting his hand on my ass to steady me has him finding out that I'd opted for the gossamer French panties, after all.
There's nothing but a whisper of fabric between his hand and my derriere.
"Oh, my, God, woman. You'll be the death of me."
He's even taken a step toward my office when I yell at him. "Zac Thomas, the first time we make love for real will not be with me bent over my desk!"
He's grumbling about my being a spoilsport, when I laugh out, "We can do that later."
It's all the encouragement he needs, although I'm glad I hadn't bothered with breakfast when he races up the stairs.
I can't complain though, with his hand exploring my ass, and other places, on the way. Soon enough, he puts me down in the bedroom and I fall against him, my legs not up to supporting me.
It's a good thing they won't have to for much longer.
Zac slides his fingers inside the tops of the thigh-high boots that complete my outfit. Not content, he then runs his hands up the sides of my legs and under the skirts of my costume. When he slides them back down, he takes my sheer panties along for the ride.
I turn to allow him to unzip me, but he's got other ideas.
"No, my alien princess. I want you to keep everything else on. I've been dreaming of this ever since you ditched that hideous baked potato outfit." He then kisses the back of my neck in an act of reverence. "It's a shame we couldn't bring the rocket home."
I burst out laughing, both at his ridiculous notion, and because of the happiness bubbling up inside of me. Soon, that's not all that's inside of me. His hands snake down my front in a move designed to claim and arouse.
While I get to keep my costume on, Zac soon rids himself of his with impressive speed, standing in front of me, his smile alight in his eyes.
"Damn, but I love you, Kelly Sanderson." His hands on my upper arms, he pulls me tight against him, his lips searing mine in a kiss that's heated with love.
As hot as the sun beaming through the skylight above the bed, the silver of my costume casting light around the room. After wrapping my fingers tight around his length, I lock my gaze with his. "And I love you, Zac Thomas, but if I don't lie down, I'm going to fall down."
