Yet again, I wonder if Kelly is as into me as I'm into her, setting aside our physical wants and needs. Hah, as if I could. The merest glance in her direction has me remembering how she'd looked earlier spread out on the bed, her secrets open to my gaze. Open to me.
Next to me, Audrey bursts out laughing for no apparent reason. The way she then waggles her eyebrows lets me know my ogling of Kelly hasn't gone unnoticed.
At least not by my sister and her husband.
Kelly could be taken as oblivious, if not for the high color in her cheeks. A color I'd seen not half-an-hour earlier.
"I need to get going to work." I'm on my feet while it's still possible for me to stand up straight. As fast as I've left the kitchen, grabbing my cooler on the way, Kelly is still there to see me off.
I lean back inside the front door and give her a chaste peck. "If we didn't have guests, I'd hike you up on the porch railing and take you right now. And to hell with the neighbors."
I then laugh at her frustration. Good, I won't be alone is spending the morning longing for completion.
