I snuggle closer, inhaling his scent—a mix of sweat, sex, and something uniquely him. My fingers trace lazy patterns on his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath my palm. "That wouldn't be fair. There should be times when I should have the same opportunity."

"Sweetheart, you can do what you wish with me any time you want. I'm not stopping you. But eating your pussy first thing in the morning, that's all mine."

A shiver courses through my whole body at his words. I had oral in the past. Both giving and receiving, but never has it feltas good as any time he has his mouth on me. Mouth. Fingers. Tongue. Cock. Any part of him drives me wild.

"We should probably get up soon," he murmurs, though making no move to do so. "I've got to get to the barn. Maddox and I have some business in town."

I slowly lift my head off his chest and tilt back to meet his gaze. "You're stopping by the school, right? Turning in the paperwork for Dash to do homeschool?”

Over the weekend, we did some research, and Tyler decided with my agreement to teach Dash, that homeschooling would be beneficial to him. If at a later time, maybe right before high school, he could go back to the school setting, but for now this was for the best, I think.

"Yeah, gonna swing by there on the way back from the arena," he answers, letting out a heavy breath. "What are you and Dash going to do today?"

"I think Dash and I might go to the library in town and pick up a few books. Maybe go to the park for a bit as well." He won't start his homeschool program until after Tyler has him withdrawn, so we have a few days to get everything organized and ready to set up.

"Not really liking the idea of you two being off the ranch without me. They still haven't found Megan yet," he grumbles.

I lift and stare him down. "If you're that uncomfortable with it, we'll stay here, but Tyler, we can't hide away from life."

He sighs, his fingers tracing patterns on my shoulder. "I know you're right. Just promise me you'll keep your phone on you at all times."

"I can do that," I promise, pressing a kiss to his jaw. "Besides, what could happen at the library and park in broad daylight?"

"You never know," he mutters and glances over at the bedside clock. "I need to get moving if I'm going to make it on time to the barn. My morning breakfast ate up a lot of my time."The grin he gives me sends a shiver down my spine. "But it was definitely worth it."

"Most definitely," I agree. It's on the tip of my tongue to tell him how I feel, but I swallow it down. It's far too early in our relationship for those three little words. Honestly, I find actions speak way louder than words.

Tyler slips out of bed, and I follow suit, heading for the bathroom while he dresses for the day. I thought he might go straight for the shower to clean up after our morning activity, but he doesn't.

I close the door behind me and turn the shower on. Today is the start of our new normal. Well, the normal for the next however many months.

Chapter Twenty-Four

Tyler

"Is there a particular reason you’re coming with me to collect the cash from the auction sales this weekend?" Maddox questions.

I stare at him for a beat. Sure, I don’t typically accompany him after the auction is complete, but I didn’t think it’d be a problem.

“I didn’t think you’d mind.”

“I don’t,” he retorts, readjusting his Ray-Bans. “Just surprised you’re leaving Delaney. Tell me, brother, does she hold your dick for you when you take a piss too?”

“Fuck off.”

The corners of his mouth lift as he eyes me. “I’m just fucking with you.”

I can read Maddox like a book, and while he claims to be joking, there’s probably a good part of him that questions what the hell I’m doing with Delaney. I went from being the man who swore off women entirely to a man completely gone for her.

Clearing my throat, I shove my hands into my pockets. “Mammon wanted to speak with me,” I grumble. “Figured since you were heading over there, I’d tag along. Not to mention, the fence is finished. We could check it out together on the way back.”

The guys had put in some grueling hours, busting their asses to get the fence done. They rotated shifts, swapped out every other day, pushed deep into the nights—and finally got it done.

"I checked it out as soon as they were done,” Maddox reveals. “It’s good.”

I don’t know why that surprises me. Maddox has eyes on everything, and up until recently so did I. Maybe that’s the issue.

"Hate that I didn't do as much to help them as I should’ve done."
