She gives me a look. “He isn’t an asshole. He’s a nice guy.”

I growl, low in my chest, and she laughs again, delighted, like my jealousy is the funniest thing she’s ever encountered.

“You don’t have to be jealous. I have zero feelings for him. It’s only you.” She kisses me again, lingering this time, and my body starts taking a very keen interest.

“I’m glad you didn’t invite him up and that you agreed to talk to me and that you didn’t want to take it slow.”

“Me, too.” She brushes her lips against mine, and then our arms are wrapped around each other.

“Let’s get some sleep,” I say into her hair, before I do something that keeps us both up until dawn. “The sooner we rest, the sooner I can be inside you again.”

“I like that.”

I reach over and turn off the side light, and darkness folds around us. She wriggles down into the mattress, and I pull the blanket over us both, and then we snuggle in really close.

It feels right.

It feels amazing.

I press my lips to the back of her neck and breathe her in, and I don’t think it could get any better than this.

Water runs down me as I quickly rinse off.

“I’ll wash your back.” Magma grins at me.

“I don’t think so.” I giggle. “We’ve had sex three times already this morning, and after last night, I’m a little tender down there.”

His face changes.

“I’m fine. All good, but I’d better get ready, or it’ll be lunchtime when we finally make it to The Mug and Spoon. I’m so hungry it’s making me feel a little dizzy.”

“We can’t have that.” Magma kisses me sweetly on the side of my mouth as he takes my place in the shower.

I towel off and get dressed in two minutes flat, with my wet hair twisted up in a towel on top of my head.

There are muscles in my body filing formal grievances right now. Muscles I didn’t know I had.

I smile.

I’m so happy I want to scream it out to the world. I can’t get this stupid grin off my face.

I’m just plugging in my hairdryer when my doorbell rings.

I put it down and go to the door, towel turban and all, expecting a delivery, or possibly Mrs. Henderson from across the hall coming to have words with me about last night. My neighbors may never look me in the eye again. They won’t have to try because I’ll be looking at the ground when I walk past them.

I open the door and smile when I see who it is. “What are you doing here?” I take Robyn by the wrist and pull her inside before she can answer. “You got married yesterday. You should be having honeymoon sex right now. Or packing for honeymoon sex. Or recovering from honeymoon sex so you can have even more honeymoon sex.”

“We did, and we are, and we will.” She looks entirely too pleased with herself. “But I had to check on you first. I’m worried about you.”

“Check on me? Robyn, you’re the bride. I’m supposed to be the one checking on?—”

Magma starts singing in my shower, and the man can actually sing. His voice rolls down my hallway, deep and warm and completely shameless.

I look over my shoulder and then at Robyn’s amused expression.
