Islah nodded. “So, what do you want to do with him?”

I thought about that for a second.

“What do you want? Do you want to help me, or do you want me to handle it?”

Islah looked at me with a smile that I had never seen her have before. My lil’ mamas had a plan.

Chapter 17

The End of Him

After a good night’s sleep and waking up in Love’s arms, I snuck outta bed while he was asleep and went downstairs.

Gio was still in the chair. He was asleep with his head hanging down. I walked past him and into the kitchen, putting a pot of water on the stove while I went ahead and made waffles, eggs, and bacon for me and Love.

Once everything was done and the water was boiling, I took the water and carefully carried it through the living room and to the entryway where Gio was sitting, and threw it on him.

He woke up screaming in pain, making Love run out of the room and look down from the top of the steps.

“Everything okay?” Love asked.

I smiled. “Yes, baby, breakfast is ready.”

Love nodded and walked back to the room. I looked back at Gio. He was breathing hard. Steam was rollin’ off his body. I leaned on the chair and looked him in his eyes.

“I was stuck in the house with you for days, unhappy and trying to get back to my life. I am going to make sure the next few hours you have on this earth are the worst you have ever felt.”

Gio stared at me as if he was trying to kill me with looks, and I laughed him off.

“Girl, you down here starting shit?” Love asked as he walked down the steps.

I kissed him as soon as he got to me.

“I started a lil’ bit, got him all hot.”

He looked at Gio and laughed.

“I have never seen Islah this mad, my boy,” Love said to Gio. “Shorty wants you so mad that you want to die. I never heard that shit.”

We walked into the kitchen, and I already had the food on the table for us.

As we ate, we talked about the weather, what I wanted to do before we left, and what I was looking forward to when we got home.

While Gio kept yelling and stomping in the same place he was left at, we continued to ignore him.

After cleaning up from breakfast, we took a walk outside, FaceTiming Amir to check on him. My heart felt so full when I saw him. Then we called my girls, Keith, and Sammy to check on them and let them know I was okay.

“Have you handled him yet?” Keith asked.

“Nah, but we ’bout to,” Love responded.

Once we were finished talking, we walked back inside, and Gio was still fuckin’ yelling.

“Are you not getting tired of this?!” I asked him. “I am tired of hearing you.”

I took the dishrag outta his mouth.

“Then kill me then, bitch! How dare you bring this nigga in my house and fuck him on my bed!”
