Loves me.

“Come, my endling. And bring them down with you.”

I release the hold on my soul and let it clash with hers.

She explodes.

Her pleasure rips through the four of us, and another fucking release is snatched out of me before I can prepare myself.

Riven slumps to the side as Amick holds himself over her back. Kyzen and I lie on both sides of her, each resting a hand on her as we pant to catch our breaths.

“Thank you. All of you. That was exactly what I needed.”

Her quiet mumbles have me brushing a strand of hair from in front of her eyes.

“You didn’t use us. That may have helped your powers, but you have no clue what you just did for us as well.”

The small, tender smile she gives me is full of clarity.

No more running to our rooms to hide.

There’s no doubt that from now on, we’ll run to her.

Without warning, Amick drags her into his arms and heads toward her bathroom. Kyzen, Riven, and I chuckle as he orders us to change the sheets and remake the bed before they come back out.

We do so with no complaint after throwing some boxers on, then get right back into her bed.

A sigh falls from my lips, breaking up the few minutes of silence as I rest my arm over my head and stare up at her white canopy.

“You okay?” Kyzen asks.

“Yeah. Better than I was, anyway.”

He nods as a harsh breath flaps his lips together. “What the hell are we going to do?”

“We’re going to do what Willow advised.”

Our heads turn toward the bathroom door.

In nothing but a towel, Thayla leans against the frame, giving us a small smile as Amick dries his hands off behind her. The contemplative look on his face doesn’t make me feel confident about that.

Everything that happened today is adding to the severity of the trial he’s attempting to make seem meaningless.

That’s a whole other shitshow we have to figure out.

Sooner rather than later.

“You do realize how hard it’s going to be to collect these replicas, right?” Riven asks with a scoff as he flings his hand up above him like he’s talking to the ceiling. “I have no doubt in my mind, Creation, Consequence, and…Accord have those shits locked up tight. There’s no fucking telling where the God of Boundaries is, and dear ol’ sperm donor obviously keeps his close by.”

“I’m sure all of that is true, and I never said it’d be easy, but it’s doable, or she never would’ve felt so compelled to give me clear instructions.”

Kyzen and I shift over an inch as she crawls her way between us. Amick passes her a shirt, and I grumble under my breath as she slips it on.

“We haven’t found our way to accomplish it yet, but we will. We’ll ask Derivius for some help or advice tomorrow.”

“I’m fucking gobsmacked by your easy acceptance of this,” Riven says.

“Nothing about this is easy for me to accept, but I accepted we had to start acting after Amick killed Harriseen. There’s no more fighting the fact that we’re tangled in the middle of this. The more I deny our role and the shit we have to do, the more atrisk we are. Maybe if this morning…” She trails off, taking a deep breath, and I lace my fingers through hers.
