Fuck.

“I don’t want to take our focus off Riven. I also don’t want Mellcom to rot. Not there anyway. Gladian and them can come under our conditions.”

Amick tightens his lips into a line. I don’t dare pay attention to his soul in case his feelings reflect that look of…disappointment, I believe.

“Very well. Let’s get this over with so we can leave.”

He nods at Yemi, but she holds my gaze.

“It’s fine. Drop the barrier.”

She too tightens her lips.

Why the fuck is everyone looking at me like that?

If they felt so strongly about leaving his ass, they should’ve made the damn decision. Not put it on my shoulders or conscience.

“What was that?”

I roll my eyes and scoff at the God of Strength.

“None of your business. As for permission to come with us to the Abandon, sure. I really don’t give a shit, but you’ll follow our rules. The God of Chaos is binding all your knowledge of our plan and your powers so you can’t use them until we reach Riven—”

“That’s far too dangerous. We’re done for if we run into more Oblirians than we can handle.”

“Then don’t fucking come, Gladian. I seriously don’t care, and you’re beyond pissing me off at this point. If it isn’t obvious, the last thing any of us care to do right now is sit here and negotiate with you. It’s our rules or you stay here. Or hell, be my guest and figure it out on your own.”

He clenches his fists at his sides and zips his mouth shut. The last shred of patience I have slips away.

I give him both my middle fingers before turning back toward the house so V can starshoot us like we originally freaking planned.

Ugh, I’m going to kill someone.

“Wait.”

“No, fuck off already.”

Derivius’s small chuckle pierces my heart. My eyes fall shut, and my feet stop stomping toward the house.

Riven would’ve been giggling this whole time.

“We’ll follow your conditions. We’ll do as you say.”

My sigh is heavy. It doesn’t relieve any stress in my shoulders as I peer over one of them. If anything, it adds more.

His face is stoic, but panic sits in the depths of his gaze. Sympathy isn’t the word I’m looking to use, but I guess I have a small shred of understanding. His Valtrue member is gone as well.

“Whatever. Let it be known, we won’t be saving any of you. Riven is our one and only concern. You can’t find Mellcom or you get yourself captured during this, that’s on you. If any of you do anything that stands in our way to Riven, I will kill you where you stand.”

“Are you threat—”

“Yes, Big Bad Domain God of Strength, I’m threatening you. Before a Beginning God. I have no respect for you, nor do I give ashit about you. You’ve done nothing to earn anything other than disrespect from me, so get used to it. It’s not going to change.”

His beard shifts as he clenches his jaw.

Dickhead.

“I’m done with this. Amick, Creed, Kyzen, one of you take over.”
