She rolls her shoulders out, closes her eyes, and her breath falls slowly from her lips. Power doesn’t release with that exhale, though it was more of her centering herself.
My brothers and I all exchange glances when the time passes the point it took her a moment ago, but then we look back at her when she takes a deep, audible inhale.
I prepare my body. I know it’s coming.
Everything inside of me heats once more. Not near the level we just experienced, but at the same time, it’s more.
My mental and emotional attention falls solely on her.
She’s all I see.
Her tan skin radiates from the early morning rays beaming down on her. A few loose strands of her rose gold hair frame her face and sweat from her workout has made them curl. I want to twirl them around my fingers as she lies on my chest and runs her hands across my heart.
She’s fucking stunning.
She’s time. Eternity.
A breathtaking smile crosses her face and as her eyes open, mine blink out of my intense staring and concentration.
“Better?” she asks.
All of us clear our throats.
I don’t know if I have any words.
I’m not sure which was better. The intense arousal she hit us with that made me want to lick her from head to toe. Or the soul-stopping emotion I just experienced.
“That was very good,Mysenta. How do you feel?”
“Good. I think I accidentally slipped some emotion in there.”
“You did, but that’s okay. You did it.”
“Are all of you okay?”
The four of us share looks that can’t quite be described. We’ve all, unfortunately, experienced the power of Seduction before, but it was never anything like that. Either time.
It’s a massive reality check about how much your intention behind how you wield your power plays in how it’ll respond.
“We’re okay,” I say.
She gets to her feet and stretches her arms above her head, showing off a little bit of skin on her stomach. I bite my lip to keep from groaning. I’m one hundred percent still feeling her first blast.
“I just need a second to stretch out.”
She takes a few steps out of our circle, striding over to V and our Veilatara as they get to their feet and greet her.
I turn my head to Amick. “That was really impressive. I think she’s going to—”
A deep groan falls from my lips as a wave of power washes over me. Sweat breaks out across my skin and my fingers dig into the dirt.
“Enjoy your boners.”
Thayla’s elated laugh echoes back to us as she takes off sprinting toward the trees. My brothers and I hop up and make it three strides before the Veilatara create a barrier to block us.
“Traitors!”
Despite Riven’s shout, a giggle still falls from his mouth and I pinch the bridge of my nose.
