‘You’re spelled, Lilith,”the more serious Demon announces.

‘You can’t say anything about the possession,’the gruttal Demonpurrs.

‘So good luck getting help!’the squeaky Demon teases.

Fuck! That does complicate things, but there’s nothing I can do about it now. One thing at a time. Get out of here, get my revenge, and find my mates. I’m the original Demon, I can take care of the lesser Demons later.

“I’m alive,” I squeak out.

He nods and stands back up, taking in the bars on the cage. Heat flares from his palms as he runs his hands over the bars, melting them with Hell Fire. Beelzebub is one of the original angels that fell with me that glorious day long ago, and he has remarkable powers. One of his primary weapons is controlling Hell Fire, but he prefers to use knives to play with. Says it allows him to get ‘personal’ with his victims, and this is why we are friends. A man after my own heart.

Once the bars vaporize to nothing, I try to move but let out a hiss when my shoulder flares with pain. Damn, I almost forgot about the knife.

Bez reaches in to pick me up, trying his best not to jostle me as I bite my tongue, holding in my moans.

“Sorry,” Bez apologizes, and I press my head into his bare, tattooed chest and look up, seeing his brown eyes warm as he adjusts me against him.

“You shaved your head?” I ask, looking up at his head and seeing his thick black antelope horns not obscured by his normally thick curls. He lets out a gruff laugh.

“You’ve been stabbed in the back, left in the seventh level of Hell, and you’re talking about my hair?”

“Yeah, I guess I am.” I try to chuckle and end up coughing. Moaning from the pain, I tuck my head back into his shoulder once again.

“Leave it to you to be the one to ask silly questions when it looks like someone wanted you out of the way.” A smooth and silky voice purrs to my right. Startled, I look over and see that all of L.A.M.B. has come to my rescue, and I spot Lucifer giving me a curious look. His black suit contrasts against his white, feathered wings that drape over his massive shoulders, forming to his narrow waist. He’s looking dapper with his dirty blond hair styled around two tiny onyx horns in soft spikes and his perpetual 5 o’clock shadow lining his angular jaw. His blue-green eyes sparkle as he makes fun of me.

“Thanks, Lucy, but can we get this knife out of my back, please?”

“Your wish is my command,” he says, teleporting us with a snap of his fingers.

I recognize Lucifer’s room instantly as Bez gently lays me face down on the black leather sofa. We’re in his sitting room where he often entertains guests. The black and gray marble interior doubles as a peek into Lucy’s personality, plus it’s easier to clean the gore off when he becomes unstable.

“Damn, chick-a-dee, who did you piss off?” Murmur asks with his British accent. The original Mischief Demon smirks as he crouches down, pushing his brown hair out of his face. His green eyes sparkle with mirth against his blue skin as he takes in my scowl. There’s no horns adorning this demon, oh no, he’s too good for that. He does have the longest tail in hell, though, which he often says is representative of his dick size, and his wings are a leathery black and blue like a bat’s. His signature black leather jacket reforms over his wings when he takes it on and off. Magic works wonders at times. He’s wearing a white henley shirt that forms to his chest. This little fucker is enjoying the idea I got myself into this mess. Everything about him just screams cocky asshole.

“Adam,” I growl out, then suck in a breath when Astaroth lightly tries to move the knife.

“Adam, as in your ex-Adam?” Astaroth asks as he pokes at the skin around the knife.

“Yes,” I say, hissing. “Will you stop poking at the damn thing and get it out?” I squeak when he hits an awfully sore area.

“It’s not that simple, Luv. It looks like that little prick got ya good with a God-blessed dagger of sorts,” Murmur says, wiggling his eyebrows.

Scoffing, I turn my head so I’m facing the back of the sofa. Of course that fucker used a dagger that would naturally weaken me, but the question is, what else did he use that allowed me to become possessed? “You’re just gonna have to rip it out then. I’ll heal, I always do.”

“The way your skin is puckering, makes me believe there are barbs digging in. It’s gonna be painful. I don’t think I’m going to be able to mask it,” Astaroth explains.

Well, shit.

He would know since he is versed in all weapons. Hell, he makes most of the weapons in the legions armory.

“It looks to be Iridium and, yes, it is blessed. Whoever made this, did a decent job in disabling your powers to heal. But I doubt they expected me to be here,” Astaroth confirms.

“You sure?” Lucifer asks as he moves my hair out of my eyes. Silver depths gaze into my blue eyes, searching for any hesitation.

Taking in a deep breath and feeling a twinge in my shoulder, I let it slowly out and look up at Lucifer. “Yeah,” I sigh and nod. I go to take in a deep breath to brace myself, when agony slices through me as the knife slowly tears the ligaments and muscles within me. Black spots cloud my vision while I struggle to take in a breath, only to scream seconds later as I feel the tissue around my wings snap and tear. Muscle spasms rack my body as tears fill my eyes when fire courses along my over-sensitive nerves. Even the Demons inside of me scream in pain. I struggle but can’t catch my breath, so with my frozen lungs, I black out.

I awaken to a different type of pain. This one is deep in my soul. Something is very wrong with my men. My connection to them is off. It’s a worrisome ache that I’ve never felt before. Like an old wound that’s scabbed over, still fresh enough to cause a constant ache. It will heal differently yet scar the skin.

Sitting up, I rub at the ache in my chest. “How long was I out?” I squeak out to no one in particular. I look around the room and see different expressions of anger and worry dotted on the guys faces. It’s Bez, the Vengeance Demon, that speaks.
