Joker’s brow furrows. “Normally, I would. But you’d never catch me, baby. It’s fine, we can play like this.”

I sit on the edge of the pool, kicking my feet in the cool water. “I don’t like becoming Switch when I’m not in heat or unless there’s a good reason. I enjoy nuzzling with Bird as Switch, when we’re in a nest. I know that you can become an Omega and switch between your dynamics whenever you want to, but it’s not as easy for me.”

“You’ve been fed too many lies about both Omegas and Rogue Switches.” Joker exchanges a glance with Bird, before releasing him. They both swim back to me. “I’ve been researching them with this outlaw network who fight for Omega and other dynamic’s rights. I’ll show it to you.”

My pulse races. “You’re serious. Is this real data?”

“I don’t know if it’s enough to convince anyone. But it’s a start.”

My expression tightens. “We must find a way to get this information out to the world. I don’t mean to corrupt politicians. I meaneveryone.”

Joker and Bird reach the side.

“I’m working on it.” Joker’s eyes gleam. “I have contacts amongst the Omega resistance.”

“The terrorist group…?” Bird squeaks in shock.

“Not a surprise.” I shrug.

“They’re freedom fighters,” Joker corrects Bird. “They’re fighting to change things for Rejects, Hotel Omegas, and abused Omegas everywhere. They’ve done more to change things for every dynamic in the sports, music, and the political worlds than anyone else. It’s not enough yet, but it’s getting there. When they spread the word about Rogues, well, that may be the final missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle that finally opens the cage for everyone.”

I frown. “What do you mean?”

Joker blinks the water out of his eyes. “Rogue Switches aren’t the only dynamic that the government are hiding. They just want to make it look like there are three distinct dynamics and no one can switch between them. It’s not true. Don’t you see how everything will be turned on its head, when that’s proved not to be true?”

My throat is suddenly dry. “More reason to kill us.”

“It wouldn’t be fun otherwise.” His gaze sweeps over my scarred body, and I cross my arms defensively. “Three gunshot wounds. Six… seven...eight knife wounds. Is that a dog bite?”

“Battle scars from being a mob assassin. Not a Rogue.”

“Didn’t you become a mob assassinbecauseyou were born a Rogue? Look, most people don’t know we exist. If they do, then they believe that we are either a myth or a monster. Yet ourpowers can help people with pheromone imbalances or issues with their heats and ruts. As fighters, we’re powerful. We have stronger pheromones than Alphas. We’re more desirable than anyone. We should be ruling the world, baby.”

“This is your real plan, isn’t it?” I stare at him.

He hums noncommittally.

Then it’s my turn to yelp in shock, as Bird and Joker both grab my legs and yank me tumbling into the water.

I flail around in shock.

I growl, blowing my dripping hair out of my face.

I’m laughing, however, as my pack members foolishly don’t attempt to escape because they’re too busy laughing and high-fiving each other.

Brats.

I’m not sure which of them is the bad influence on the other, but Iloveit.

For the first time, I play in the water, splashing each of them in turn.

Then I dive on Joker and cage him against the side. I kiss the water off his lips as my way to thank him for this night out of the cabin and for sharing this part of himself with me.

He kisses me back, sliding his hand up into my hair.

I feel Bird swim up behind me. His hard cock presses against my back.

Bird purrs, licking up and down the back of my neck. My eyelashes flutter.
