“Do you know her name now?”

Burton shook his head.

“No.”

The answer seemed to drain the room.

Caitlin suddenly went very still.

Everybody looked at her.

“What?” Burke asked.

Caitlin blinked hard.

“Wait.”

She stood abruptly and grabbed her purse from the counter.

“Izzy… I was going to show you this the day you got taken.”

Izzy frowned.

“What?”

Caitlin pulled out her iPad and sat back down quickly, fingers moving across the screen.

Then she turned it around.

A painting filled the display.

Blue Ridge Mountains at dawn.

Layers of blue and silver mist rolling across the ridges with breathtaking softness and light.

The brushwork was unmistakable.

Izzy sucked in a breath instantly.

“Oh my God.”

At the bottom corner of the painting:

C. Arden Tate.

But Izzy already knew.

“That’s her,” she whispered.

Caitlin looked at her with wide eyes.

“You see it too?”

“Yes.”

The room blurred suddenly through tears.

“That’s Clara.”
