All her insecurities rushed to the forefront of her mind and heart, but she knew that letting any of that show on her face would make things much worse for her than they already were.

Her brain replayed words from the top of the hill over the village.“I don’t expect you to believe overnight. Hell, you may never believe one hundred percent, and I get that. As many times as you need to hear it, I’ll say it. It doesn’t help that we’ve skipped quite a few steps in the whole relationship sequence, but doing so suggests you trust me, at least a little bit.”

No. He wasn’t a spy for Guillermo. It didn’t matter that the situation was dire. She could not accept that he had brought her through all of this just to hand her over. She would never accept it as the truth.

Demon’s voice rattled in her head.“All you have to do is stay alive. If you get caught, do whatever it takes to stay alive. I mean it. Whatever it takes.”

On its heels was the confirmation from Steel.“No act is unforgivable to give in to.”

None of them were responsible for Cesar’s presence. Something else had tuned him in to where she was. Right now, what or who it was didn’t matter. She needed to get through this. Survive. She needed to trust—something she had never done in her life before—that she would get out of this alive, and that Triumph would too.

“Now, little spy…”

The nickname she’d once found so endearing caused stomach acid to rise from her belly into her throat.

“We’re going to play a little game. You’re going to use some of those superb oral skills I’ve witnessed. You get five minutes. For every minute you have to go beyond that to get me off, that’s how many bullets I’m going to put into your boyfriend next door. So make it good. Maybe I won’t even fight coming.”

Oh fuck. What did she do? Rape she could survive. Balancing between giving him enough fear to convince him to keep playing with her so she stayed alive and keeping them from killing her through whatever pressure points they chose to use was a horrifying game to play, but she needed to do it right now. Not only that, but there was Triumph to consider. If she went too hard at Cesar to get him off, he’d know how desperate she was to keep Triumph from being hurt. Go too weak, and he’d suffer worse.

There was nothing for it. She’d have to finish Cesar quickly and hope he kept his word.

Highly unlikely.

In the space of her thoughts, he’d unzipped his pants and pulled his cock out. Gripping it at the base, he aimed it toward her, and the two men holding her pushed her in its direction. Before she could open her mouth for him, he pulled himself back just out of reach. “And no biting, little spy. Those teeth comeinto contact with my cock, I will shoot him in every one of his extremities, then slice his dick off and feed it to him while you watch him chew every bite. Understand?”

“I understand,” she ground out.

With a violent shove, one of the men pushed her head down so her mouth enveloped Cesar’s cock, and they taunted her with every swipe up and down.

He kept a count. Every thirty seconds, between grunts, he reminded her how long it was taking. Inside her head, she tried to divorce herself from the actions. Stay alive! Stay alive! Stay alive! She just kept repeating it over and over, possibly her last ever affirmation. Because if she wasn’t alive, then Triumph had very little chance of staying alive as well.

The man must have really been fixated on her because it took him very little time to erupt into her mouth. As he came, his two henchmen shoved her down further so she choked on his cum, but as soon as they let up, she reared away and spat what she could onto the dirt floor.

Gasping for breath, his cock lying semihard against his upper thigh, he laughed, and his hand caught her by the throat, squeezing just enough to restrict the air but not stop it. “Still fiery, I see. That’s what I figured you would be. Such a fucking tease all these years. Well, I get my turn now. Guillermo is finished with you, little spy. You’re mine until I get bored. And while I do get bored quickly, it won’t be easy on you.

“Again,” he barked. “And it may take a little bit to get me hard, so if you want to keep Mason Zelinski lead-free, you’d best do even better this time.” He squeezed just a bit harder and brought his face within centimeters of hers. “And if you spit me out on the floor again, I will fuck you on top of his dead corpse.”

She’d never hated anyone like she hated this man.

TWO FAMILIAR FACES

Triumph

He woketo a violent shaking of his shoulder, an ammonia stick under his nose, and a hand clamped over his mouth. He could barely make out the shape of a man leaning over him, and his instinct was to fight.

“Triumph! Stop struggling.” The voice sounded slightly familiar. “It’s Demon.”

They’d been found.

The relief he felt was overwhelming, but he hoped to feel much better when he saw Glennon. From what he could see of the room, she wasn’t there.

He held up his hands to show he understood. As soon as the hand moved from his mouth, he hissed, “Where is she?”

Still shaking his head from the smell lingering in his nose, he sat up gingerly from the ground. He winced, putting a hand to his back. That punch to the kidney was going to be painful for a bit, but he’d survive.

“They have her next door. We need you mobile before we can pull her out.”

There was tension in the man’s voice, as if he didn’t like that they had to wait, but knew it was absolutely necessary. That didn’t bode well.
