“You just made me lose two thousand dollars.”
He paused, shoving his hand in his pocket. He retrieved the twenties I’d dropped.
“You’re insane.”
“I’m in love, Hyph. That might make me a little crazy. I ain’t tripping ‘bout it.”
I inhaled deeply and then released the breath I’d pulled in.
“You trying to ride The Boulevard with a real nigga?”
“I’m trying to get to the store for a Plan B.”
“You’ll get there, baby. I’m not done nutting in that pussy tonight.”
My nipples hardened against my shirt. Somehow, those words were enticing. A child wasn’t in my near future. It was likely it wasn’t in my future at all. That was still to be determined.
“So you riding?”
“I feel like I don’t have a choice.”
“You don’t.”
“So why you asking?”
“Cause my knees weak and I can’t carry your ass over there hollering and screaming.”
Laughing, I took Flocco by his extended hand. We made our way back to where Saga stood with Roddrick. She cut her eyes in my direction, smiling wide. Her middle finger and thumb tapped as she nodded.
“Saga, bring your ass on. We don’t associate with rats.”
Flocco never looked in her direction. His eyes were trained on Rodney. Saga didn’t waste time. She tiptoed toward us.
“Tell your man he’s not both of our daddies,” she whispered when she was near enough.
“Bitch you could’ve fooled me.”
We made our way down The Boulevard, not stopping until we were near his car. Next to it was Sully, looking like a winter night in Dooley.
“Get ya lady, homie,” Flocco instructed Sully as he opened the passenger door.
I lowered my body into the seat, feeling the effects of Flocco’s girth and the remnants he left inside of me. Saga joined Sully on the hood of his car.
“You rolling out?”
“Yeah,” Flocco told him.
“Saga–”
“Go ahead, babes. I can handle myself.”
“You sure?”
“I’m positive.”
“See you later.”
Flocco’s engine revved. Everyone in front of his whip stepped aside.
