CHAPTER 28

BUCKLE

Two daysof fucking and I’m beat. My knot finally goes down and I sigh a breath of relief. But it’s short-lived.

“Oh, fuck.” When I pull out of Perry, the condom comes out empty.

“What’s wrong?” He asks lazily.

Abel’s face goes pale. “It broke.”

“Well, damn.” Perry snorts and drops his head to my chest. “At least wetriedto prevent getting pregnant. But I don’t think it’s so bad of an idea anymore. Getting to know you both, I think we’ll be excellent parents.”

Abel’s shoulders drop, and he nods. “You really will be.”

“Sweetness.” Perry tips Abel’s chin up. “This baby or babies areallof ours. You’ll be their parent, too.” Perry pulls Abel closer to him. “We’re a team. All three of us. Don’t you feel that, yet?”

“I think so, but it’s still hard to believe.”

“Well, believe it,” I say and drop a kiss to the top of his head. He circles a finger around my pec.

“I don’t want to just be a babysitter,” Abel whispers.

“Oh, sweetness, no. You won’t just be a babysitter. You’re our partner. You’ll be in on all decisions. Everything. From theground up. You were here for me during my Heat as much as Buckle.” Perry looks to me and I nod.

Abel shrugs. “All I did was make you two eat and feed you my dick. That wasn’t?—”

Perry holds up a hand. “That’s exactly what I needed. Buckle’s dick was great.” He pats me on the hip. “But we were both too far gone to take care of each other. You did that. Please don’t look down on your contributions to this union. You’re important Abel.”

There’s not much I can contribute to the conversation because I back every one of Perry’s words.

“I wish there was a way we could show you how much you mean to us,” I say.

Abel shakes his head. “No, it’s me. I mess things up in my head. I’m still so damn insecure, even though I shouldn’t be. You’ve both been nothing but…” He sighs. “Amazing.”

“It’s okay, sweetness. You still have a lot of baggage to unpack. We’ll help you every step of the way, but what about going to therapy?”

Abel nibbles his bottom lip. “Rileyhasasked me about it. I’ve always been too afraid.”

“Why?” I ask. “I went to therapy for a long time. I still go back when I need to. There’s nothing scary about it, especially if you find someone you click with.”

Perry nods. “We can help you find someone. Or maybe Riley can.”

“Okay,” Abel whispers. “I’ll ask Riley tomorrow.”

“Oh, no,” Perry says. “Tomorrow is for rest. That was an intense Heat for all of us, you included.”

Abel’s cheeks go pink. “Okay.”

I rub a thumb across the apple of his cheek. “Riley won’t care. He’s going to be thrilled you helped.”

Abel buries his face in his hands. “Please don’t say things like that. I don’t want to think about him knowing I helped. Maybe he’ll just think all I did was cook for you two.”

Perry snorts. “I think you permanently smell like my Heat.”

Abel’s eyes go wide. “Is that a thing? Will I need to wear scent blockers from now on?” He lifts an arm and sniffs his armpit, but that leaves Perry cackling.

“No, sorry my beautiful Beta, that’s not a thing.” Perry leans in to kiss him on the lips and Abel melts so prettily.
