CHAPTER 23
PERRY
“I can not believeour sweet, innocent Beta was the killer,” Buckle says as he scoops Abel into a hug and spins him around in the parking lot.
I skip beside them. “That was the most fun I’ve ever had on a date. I think Abel needs to be the person to come up with all our dates.”
“Don’t put that much pressure on me!” Abel squeals when Buckle spins him a little higher.
Buckle sets him back on his feet. “It was a blast.” He drops a kiss to Abel’s cheek before chasing after me. I let him catch me at the truck, where he presses his lips to mine and grinds against me. It’s scandalous in public, but I don’t care. I catch the back of his head and pull him closer. Ineedmore. My Heat is close, and it makes me hornier than usual. I’m not sure why it’s later than anticipated after thinking it would come earlier after finding my mates, but here we are. My cock perks to life the more we kiss. I whine, wanting more, but we’re not anywhere safe enough to do something about it.
“Come back to my place,” Buckle whispers against my lips.
“Okay.” There’s no use denying us both what we want right now.
“You can come back to my place too, if you want,” Buckle says to Abel.
Our Beta shakes his head. “Thank you, but no. Please enjoy yourselves, though.” Abel grins. “You can send video if you want.” He nibbles his bottom lip. “It’d be hotter than those links you sent me.”
“I didn’t think you wanted anything like that on your phone,” Buckle says, trying to suppress a smile.
Abel waves a hand. “That was Abel from the other day. This is today Abel.”
“I’m agreeable to it.” I pull Buckle down for another kiss. “Get us home.”
“I’ll fly home so you don’t have to drop me off,” Abel offers.
“We can’t just ditch you like that,” Buckle says.
“You’re not ditching me. I’m offering. That way you can get to the action faster.” Abel winks and instead of waiting for an anwser from either of us, he shifts and flies off. His clothes float to the ground in a pile.
I scoop the warm clothes up, they smell like him and I bury my nose. We’ll get them to him sometime. But right now I need Buckle to do naughty things to me.
I’m tremblingwith need that coils through me the moment the truck doors slam shut and the cab seals Buckle and me together. Buckle’s scent is piney, musky, always just this side of wild that makes my head spin, and I can’t stop touching him, even as he’s still clicking his seatbelt into place. I paw at his arm and the side of his neck, running my fingers through the scruff of his jaw, feeling the solid lines of his body and the heat that radiates off him.
Buckle grabs my hand, grinning, but he’s not really in control. I can feel the pulse hammering in his wrist, see the flush crawl up his throat, the way his breath catches every time I lean closer.
It’s a miracle I haven’t climbed directly onto his lap. The urge is so strong it clouds my vision. The parking lot is empty except for a few other vehicles in the lot. I could ride him right here, windows fogged, radio playing low, and not care if someone catches a free show. Half of me wants to tangle my fingers in his hair and bite his lip until he growls. The other half wants him to drive us as fast as possible to his place so he can pin me down and take me apart like we’ve both wanted since Fate told us we were mates.
“I need you, Alpha.” The words scrape out of my throat.
Buckle’s hand squeezes mine. “I know, Perry. I know.” There’s a warning in his voice, but it only eggs me on.
I press my thigh against his, shifting in the seat so our hips knock together. There’s no hiding the slick between my legs. The wetness seeps through my underwear, probably staining my pants, but I’m so far past caring. What are clothes when I’m this close to my Alpha taking care of my primal need?
He tastes me in the air, I can tell. His pupils are blown wide, eyes black as midnight, and he licks his lips like he’s about to feast. My hands are everywhere, tugging at his belt, tracing the veins in his forearm, flitting over his shoulder. I just need to touch him.
One of Buckle’s hands grip the steering wheel and the other cradles the back of my neck, steering me in for a kiss. Our mouths crash together, tongues fighting for space, and his beard rasps my chin raw.
I break away only long enough to pant, “Get us out of here before we do anything illegal.” He laughs, a rasp in his throat, and throws the truck into drive. The moment we’re moving, his hand slides up my thigh, under my jacket, and cups me through my pants.
I whimper, the sound so damn pathetic and needy, and he groans, “Fuck, Perry,” likehe’sthe one about to come.
The drive is a blur. My skin burns every place he touches me. Finally, he pulls off onto the road that leads to the Rising estate.
Tohisplace.
When he parks, our bodies collide, frantic and graceless, and he’s everywhere, his mouth crushing mine, his hands already inside my pants, and I’m clawing at his shirt, ripping buttons, desperate to feel his bare skin beneath my palms.
