Her head was turned back toward Kelly, their mouths finding each other in messy, breathless kisses that broke apart and reformed, Becca's hand reaching behind her to touch Kelly's face, her neck, her hair, pulling her closer. Kelly was whispering something between the kisses, her lips against Becca's ear, and whatever she was saying was making Becca gasp and nod before kissing her harder. Becca's other hand had found Kelly's thigh behind her and was gripping it, pulling Kelly's body tighter against her back, wanting more contact, more closeness, more of her.

They were completely absorbed in each other. Ellie might as well have not been in the room. She might as well have not existed. The world had contracted to the two of them on that bed… Kelly's fingers inside Becca, Becca's mouth on Kelly's, their bodies pressed together, whispering and insanely intimate. Ellie was outside all of it, invisible, forgotten.

It was the most explicit thing she had seen all night and also the thing that drove the jealousy-arousal loop off the charts. It wasn’t the acrobatics of what had come before but this, the quiet intimacy of it, the way Becca was completely Kelly’s given her full attention, full focus, full self. For the first time there was nothing performative in it, nothing angled for Ellie's benefit by either woman. This was two women lost in each other, and Ellie was simply watching two beautiful people do insanely pleasurable things as if the rest of the world had vanished.

She was transfixed.

The jealousy was there, hot and undeniable, but it was so thoroughly braided into the arousal by now that pulling them apart was impossible, and she didn't want to anyway. She watched Kelly's fingers sliding in and out of her wife with a steady rhythm that was accelerating now, watched Becca's fingers dig into Kelly’s thigh, watched them kiss and break apart as Becca moaned against Kelly’s mouth, and felt a kind of awe at the sheer, undeniable completeness of Becca's surrender. Her wife had given herself to this woman, not partially, not conditionally, but totally, so completely that Ellie had ceased to exist for her in that moment, and the evidence of it was right there in front of her, Kelly's fingers deep inside Becca, Becca's body pulling her in, their mouths and hands and whispers creating a private universe of two.

Ellie could see the orgasm building. She knew the signs so intimately that she could track it like a countdown even from outside: Becca's breathing going ragged, the flush deepening across her back and shoulders, the way her toes curled, the way her grip on Kelly's thigh became white-knuckled. Kelly's rhythm was faster now, more insistent, and Becca was pushing back against her hand, chasing it, wanting it, needing it, her moans muffled against Kelly's mouth.

When Becca came she broke the kiss and cried out, literal cry after cry of pleasure, her whole body shaking while Kelly held her tight, fingers still moving, her other arm wrapped tight around Becca's chest, her mouth pressed against Becca's hair, whispering things that Ellie would never know.

It went on for a long time. Wave after wave, Becca's body clenching and releasing, her sounds changing from cries towhimpers to a long, shuddering, silent moan as the last wave rolled through her. Kelly slowed her hand but didn't withdraw, stayed inside her, holding her, the two of them breathing hard together.

Ellie sat on the sofa with both necklaces pressed into her palm hard enough to leave marks, frozen by the intensity of what she’d seen. She felt something bigger than jealousy, bigger than arousal, bigger than love. Some vast, overwhelming thing that contained all of those and more, the experience of watching her wife be so completely taken by someone else that for a few minutes Ellie had disappeared entirely, and finding that the disappearance itself was the most erotic, most terrifying, not to mention most beautiful thing she had ever witnessed.

After a long, quiet minute, Becca's hand reached blindly behind her, found Kelly's face and stroked her cheek. Then she slowly turned her head and her eyes found Ellie across the room.

Becca looked wrecked. Bright eyed, flushed, exhausted, sweaty, radiant, her hair a mess. And the expression on her face when she saw Ellie, the way her eyes softened, the way a small, trembling smile appeared, the way she seemed to come back from wherever she'd been and land, firmly and certainly, back in the room with her wife, that was worth everything.

I love you, she mouthed wearily.

I love you too, Ellie mouthed back, and finally eased her grip on their necklaces.

After that the energy started to ease. Kelly seemed to sense it and the last few minutes were gentle, unhurried, the three of them easing back from the intensity rather than chasing another peak.

Kelly sat on the edge of the bed, pulling on her clothes. She looked relaxed and happy, her blonde hair a mess and her cheeks still flushed. Becca was lying on the bed in one of Ellie's oversized t-shirts that she'd grabbed from the laundry pile, and Ellie was back on the sofa, legs tucked under her.

"I should probably head out," Kelly said, zipping up her dress. "Find a ride back to my friend's place before she thinks I've been abducted." She paused and grinned that grin. "Although this was way better than her birthday party, so maybe being abducted is underrated."

"Thank you," Becca said from the bed. She sat up and reached for Kelly's hand. "That was... I don't think I have the words."

Kelly squeezed her hand and leaned over to kiss her on the cheek. "You don't need words. That was something special. For me too." She looked over at Ellie. "Both of you. Thank you for trusting me."

"Thank you," Ellie replied, and meant it completely. "For understanding what this is."

"I get it. I really do." Kelly stood and finished getting dressed. "If you guys ever wanted to do something like this again... I'm a text away. I mean it. Colt's going to be either insufferably smug or insufferably jealous when I tell him about this but he'll get over it either way.”

Becca looked at Ellie. Ellie looked at Becca. The wordless exchange between them said what it always said:we'll talk about it later, properly, the way we talk about everything.

"We'll be in touch," Becca said. "On the group chat."

"The group chat. I love it." Kelly found her jacket and slung it over her shoulder, then pulled out her phone. "One more photo? Bookend to the one on the street? Colt will appreciate the narrative arc."

Ellie laughed and stood up from the sofa. The three of them squeezed together by the bedroom door, Kelly in the middle again, Becca leaning against her on one side and Ellie on the other, and when Kelly showed them the picture she’d taken the contrast was hilarious: Ellie still dressed for her night out, then Kelly looking precisely like she’d just got dressed after sex, then Becca looking thoroughly ruined in the very best way. But crucially, all of them looking very, very happy. “The before and after. He’s going to love this.”

“Send it to us too?” Ellie asked.

“Gladly.” She tapped at her phone and sent it. “Y'all are the most functional couple I've ever met," Kelly added as she pocketed the phone, "though I live with a man named Colt, so the bar is admittedly pretty low."

Kellie leaned over and hugged Ellie. “Thank you for lending me your wife,” she whispered. “Until next time…”

Becca walked Kelly to the door, and Ellie heard their voices in the hallway… quiet, friendly, what sounded like a hug, Kelly'slaugh one more time, and finally the sound of the front door opening and closing. Then silence.

Becca's footsteps came back through the living room.
