Luisa shook her head. “Just you…”
“That I can definitely do.”

“So I’ve got a question,” Luisa asked. “And I needed to be a little drunk to ask it.”
The two women had moved to Luisa’s sofa, and had moved on from water to something a little stronger… the wisdom of which was questionable to Amy, but wisdom be damned because she was having the most fun that night that she’d had in a long, long time… first the party, and now this.
“Shoot. If it’s awful I might have convenient memory loss by morning.”
Luisa grinned. “Perfect.” She hesitated, then said, “What we just did… have you done that a lot?”
“Not much. Only with one person, only recently. Why?”
“You seem really into it. And good at it.”
“I’ll take that compliment!” Amy smiled and ran her fingertips idly along Luisa’s arm. “I like it, but as part of something bigger. Like, I like doing that, but then I also like someone doing something like that to me. And I really like doing neither and just being, I don’t know, kind of equal.”
“You mean doing what we just did as a thing you do… that we do? Rather than beingthething we do?”
“That’s a great way to put it. Yes. What about you?”
“I’ve never done something like that before. A lot of my experience has been more casual, I’ve not… I guess I’ve not had a thing with someone for a long time where I’d feel safe to explore it. With you, it feels safe.”
“You want to explore it more?” Amy asked.
“As part of everything else, yes.” Luisa went silent for a few moments, and Amy could see she was thinking. “How many people have you… you know, been with in your life?”
Amy laughed. “You mean what’s my body count?” When Luisa smiled back and nodded, Amy said, “I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours. Deal?”
“Deal.”
“Ok… so…” Amy sat back, counting in her head. Boyfriends at school and uni, her wild couple of weeks of experimentation, James, the senior associate, all the way through to now.
Luisa was laughing next to her as she thought. “That many?” she teased, giving Amy’s hand an affectionate squeeze.
“At least two hundred,” Amy deadpanned, but she couldn’t keep a straight face. “Ok, this might not be perfect but… it kind of depends what you count. I reckon…” She winced slightly. “I make it twelve. Seven guys, five women.” She looked at Luisa. “God, that makes me sound like such a slut…”
“You’re not, don’t worry. That’s good… plenty of experience!”
“Well all but three were people I was seeing, so it’s not like I went wild on one night stands or anything.” Amy grinned mischievously. “Your turn. And seeing as we’re both women we don’t need to do that thing where we half it to seem more mysterious and alluring.”
Luisa looked at her innocently. “I was a virgin before I met you. You were my first time.”
Amy simply burst out laughing, even more so when Luisa pretended to look hurt. “You don’t believe me?”
“Seeing as you told me you’d slept with at least one other model the night I met you… no, I don’t.” She took Luisa’s hand in hers. “Tell me.”
“It’s more than yours.”
“It could be a million. I wouldn’t care.”
“That’s good then. I think… somewhere near twenty five? Maybe more, maybe less.”
“Twenty five? Round it down to the nearest ten then round mine up and you’re same as me.”
