Milo doesn’t comment and just continues to smile at me. Our eyes meet in a warm bubble that pulls me under.
“You don’t think I’m trying to use you, do you?” I ask quietly. I hate to compare myself to a bastard, but I need Milo to know that I’m not with him because of whatever benefits his status might give me.
Milo studies me and contemplates the question for a second. My breath is stuck in my throat.
“No, I know you’re not. For someone who works so closely with celebrities, you’re pretty much disinterested in this industry as a whole,” Milo says with a laugh.
“What can I say? I like keeping things simple,” I mutter.
There’s too much drama in this industry, and if I had the choice, I would stay as far away from it all as possible.
Though, everything is different now. If it means being with Milo, I’m willing to put up with anything, including drama.
Milo props his arms over my shoulders and leans in until our noses are almost touching.
“I know,” he repeats. “Which is why I know you’re not with me for benefits. For my body, maybe.”
“You do have a pretty great body,” I say huskily. My hands are around his waist and pulling him closer. “But it’s you I want. Just you. You don’t have to hope and believe that someone loves you for who you are, because it’s already happened. It doesn’t matter if it’s the you on stage or the goblin who never wears enough clothes for the freezing weather. I loveyou.”
His eyes are a gray pool of shining emotions that sinks me under.
“Kiss me,” he orders, and I happily oblige.

Rowan trails electrifying kisses down my neck. I’m warm, fucking burning with lust and love for this man. Best of all, the feelings aren’t one-sided.
Rowan loves me too. Forme.
And I’m absofuckinglutely giddy. So much so that I actually laugh out loud, which causes Rowan to stop his kisses to look down at me.
Something I decide is a crime. In fact, there should be a rule that Rowan’s lips can’t be more than an inch away from me.
His eyes crinkle, and the gold flecks in his eyes turn into a gooey warmth I could get lost in. I’m on my back on the couch, and Rowan is hovering over me. Don’t ask me how we got here, since everything is a blur when our lips are locked in a tangle.
Speaking of, he should be kissing me now. I need to research how to get laws passed, because therereallyneeds to be a law that states Rowan Rangecroft is required to keep his lips on Milo Tobitt at all times.
“Why do you keep chuckling to yourself?” Rowan asks. He’s still smiling as he looks down at me, and it has me chuckling again.
“Just thinking about ways to keep your lips on me always,” I tell him truthfully.
Rowan laughs at my answer, even though I’m entirely serious, andthis is a serious matter!
“That’s not hard to do,” he breathes, and kisses me again. “But I hope you’re not picky about where they are, because I want to taste all of you.”
“Did you not have enough the last time you kept me in bed all night?” I grumble.
Instead of answering, he lifts my foot with his hand and kisses the inside of my ankle. “I keep thinking about the fic you told me about. You should send it to me.”
I gape at him. “The one where the love interest is my ankle? You actually want to read that?”
“I can see the appeal,” he says and kisses my ankle again.
I try to kick him off, but he holds me still. Damn him and his big, delicious muscles. I’m totally not taking the blame for him turning into a pervert.
I nudge him, and he easily yields to me and flips us over until I’m on top. I turn around so I’m sitting on his stomach with my back to his face. Rowan’s hands find my ankle again.
