“You,” he murmured.

There was that delicate laugh again. “I am not sure whether that is an exact guess, John, do you? What part of me?”

“Finger,” John managed to say as the sensation of her fingertip moved to the very top of his breeches and then disappeared altogether.

“Very good.”

“Christ and all his saints,” John muttered, leaning back in his chair, attempting to catch his breath.

She was going to kill him if he did not bed her soon. How could he stay in control of himself?

Titania had not touched him with something new. She had placed herself in his lap—where his hands had been resting. And now his hands were touching…she was leaning into his chest.

He wondered whether he would ever be as close to Heaven before he died as he was right now. Titania, his Lyon Tamer, the woman who would win him for her husband if she won this game…

She was not wearing any underclothes. His hands were suddenly full of soft, warm flesh.

“Titania,” he managed to groan. “I want…bloody hell…”

John tightened his fingers around her buttocks and felt pleasure rocket through him that he had never known. Her weight was comforting, her scent overwhelming, and he was going to…if she were not careful, she would lose any chance to take him to that bed.

“I-I am not sure I can play anymore,” John moaned.

Her weight tilted, and there was a gentle laugh in his ear. “Dear me, John, giving up so soon? Does this mean you forfeit?”

Chapter Six

It was alltoo easy to lose herself in the sensations threatening to overwhelm her—and why shouldn’t she let them? After waiting so long, after wanting him so much, why shouldn’t Rebecca allow her fantasy to finally become a reality?

The feel of John’s hands was wonderful. It made her lose all reason.

His hands on her bottom, her hands on his chest as she leaned on him, allowing her bosom to brush against his chest—oh God, it was heavenly, it was what life was intended for. It was what her life should have been for the last year at least!

Why had she not done this before?

“Oh, Titania,” John moaned, still blindfolded.

Rebecca had to bite her lip to prevent herself from telling him precisely who she was. She wanted to hear her real name on his lips, but not yet. This was wild, wanton, wonderful, and she did not want it to end quickly.

Once she lost herself to him, once her innocence was gone…

Once, in short, they were more tied to each other than any other two people could be, when there was no going back, she could reveal herself to him.

“John…” she murmured.

She had promised herself she would not be too vulnerable, not open herself to him before he knew—but how could she restrain herself?

“Well, I am no fool, and I know what is likely to occur here. And I have not…I have never…not before. Not with anyone.”

He was just as innocent as she was. Rebecca’s heart swelled with joy at the thought they would experience this newness together, share it as equals—it was more than she could ever have hoped for.

It was time to get her way.

“I said,” Rebecca murmured, attempting to keep her voice level, “does this mean you forfeit?”

“I-I do forfeit,” John moaned, seemingly unable to stop stroking her bottom.

“How about having the rest of me?”
