Even if she should surely be impervious to it by now. Hannah bit down on her back teeth—she would be impervious to it and him. Soon. No matter what.

She scooted herself up again. “Sol?”

“Yes?” he asked.

“Kiss me again,” she told him.

The smile lit his handsome face. “With pleasure.”

And he did, this time with languid, slow, aching strokes, first against her lips, and the inside. He moved his hand between them, caressing her skin, teasing.

“You’re going to be the death of me,” she managed to whisper in his ear.

“We can’t have that.” He gave her another peck. “I want you very much alive and thinking of me and only me.”

Before she could respond, he moved fully on top of her, spreading her once again. He teased her entrance a little. “Are you sure this is all right?”

“I want this. And you,” she told him because that at least was true. “All of you.”

“Excellent.” He grinned at her, sliding inside, filling her. And the pressure was exquisite, so much and not enough and everything. She clutched him to her, nuzzling against his flesh to create the memory of just the two of them together, joined. She kissed the joint between his neck and his shoulder, and he began to move.

She rose to meet him, taking her pleasure as he took his, two bodies as one, the rough hairs on his chest gliding over her skin. And almost too soon, she was ready again. She buried her face in his body, near biting his flesh as the shudders took her.

And then it was his turn. “Hannah,” he cried, his voice strangled as he pulled out of her, turning slightly to the side to spend. “Hannah,” he whispered as he grasped her to him, moving them both back down on the bed. “Stay with me.”

“I can’t,” she said, shifting a little. “You know I can’t.”

“Not all night.” He coiled an arm around her, pulling her back down. “Just a little. Please. Just be with me.”

Hannah blinked up at him and the wolf was gone, replaced by soft dark eyes and a good man. Who was not for the likes of her. But she couldn’t deny him, not when he stared at her like this, like she was someone actually worthy of him and his desire.

“All right,” she sighed, laying her head on his chest. “Just for a little while.”
