A short man stepped up with a hookah stand in his hands. He set it on the table in front of us and retrieved the coals, tips, and a lighter. I watched as he set up, rocking side to side to the music.

“I got watermelon mint since it seems to be a fan favorite with most women.”

I giggled because it was true. My girls and I only got the mint flavors whenever we went out. Call me a basic bitch, but I liked what I liked. Mendeecees opened the tip, placed it in the tube, and handed it to me. I inhaled the flavored smoke and instantly relaxed. It took me ten minutes to realize I was smoking by myself because I was vibin’ so hard.

“Do you want some?”

“Naw, I got it for you. I prefer my herbs over flavored air,” he jested.

“Whatever. Thank you, boo. This is just what I needed.”

“I’ll do whatever to make you happy, and I mean that.”

His declaration left me speechless. When Mendeecees first approached me, he was aware of my relationship, but he had no idea who I was with. After his video shoot, when he found out I was single, he had been applying pressure to get me to give him a chance. There was a part of me that was afraid of being hurt, but there was another part of me that was afraid I would actually fall for him.

I glanced over at him, and his eyes were filled with lust and admiration. It might have been the liquor or seeing East with another woman, but whatever the reason, I decided I was done holding back. I leaned down, kissing Mendeecees on the cheek. When I went to pull away, he held my face still as he pressed his lips against mine.

His lips were soft, tasting like weed and spearmint from the gum he was chewing. When his tongue entered my mouth, Ifroze for a moment, letting him take control. Eventually, we got into a rhythm, and things grew hot and heavy fast. Everyone in the section was doing their own thing, so no one was paying attention to what was going on.

Mendeecees took things a step further when his hand ventured between my legs. He moved the middle section of my shorts to the side, then slipped his fingers inside. My body jerked when I felt his thick finger dip inside me.

I buried my face into his neck while he fingered me. I prayed no one was watching, but with the way he was making my body feel, I didn’t care if they were.

“Ahh.” I moaned when he added a finger, stroking them against my walls. I had been pleasing myself for months, and my body told on me. I could feel my lower belly tingling and didn’t know what to do.

“Don’t hold back. I want to see your face when you’re cummin’,” Mendeecees whispered in my ear. My arms wrapped around his neck. When our eyes locked, I saw the sexy smirk on his face, and I lost it. My body trembled as I released on his fingers. I closed my eyes as the sensation took over, and I could hear him growl as my muscles convulsed around him.

“Damn.” He grunted, removing his fingers from my center and putting them in his mouth. I watched with wide eyes as he licked them clean, then downed the rest of his drink. I glanced around, and everyone was still dancing and in their own world. My body was overheated, and I needed Mendeecees to put the fire out.

“I’m ready to go.”

He gave me a knowing look, then nodded his head. We got up and said our goodbyes to everyone before heading out the back exit. Mendeecees’s guards followed us to his car and made sure we were settled as they got into their cars too. He drove with one car in front and another trailing behind him. I asked him why he needed so much security since he had lived there his whole life.Keynauri had security, but they weren’t as deep when we were home.

“A lot of rappers get killed in their hometowns. While most may love you, there’s always someone lurking in the background who feels like it should have been them and not you. I do a lot for my community, but I’m not dumb enough to believe I don’t have enemies. It’s often the ones closest to you who secretly wish for your downfall. They’ll cheer you on in public, but behind closed doors, they’re praying you fail. Always keep your eyes open, no matter how much you trust someone.”

I nodded my head in understanding. The moment we got to the hotel, I jumped in the shower. Even though I took one before we went to dinner, I wanted to freshen up.

When I stepped out of the shower, Mendeecees was leaning against the dresser in front of the bed. He was on a phone call, so I walked past him quietly. Whoever he was talking to monopolized most of the conversation, so it was silence on his end outside of ‘I understand’ and ‘okay.’

I wasn’t one of those organized people who put their clothes away when they traveled. I lived out of my suitcase and had no shame about it. Since it was nighttime, I pulled out a cute lingerie set Mendeecees bought me the day before. I held it up, admiring how sexy it looked. There was something about red lingerie that added an extra flare of sex appeal.

“You might as well put it back in the bag. It won’t be on long enough for either of us to enjoy,” Mendeecees stated, catching me off guard.

“Naw, Mama. I wasn’t talking to you. Yeah, I heard you. Listen, I’m coming to see you in a couple of days, and we can sit down and talk about everything then. For now, don’t give him any more money. I understand he’s your son, but he’s also an addict. You’re too trusting, and it’s only gonna end badly, because if he takes anything else from you, I’ma beat his ass. Mybad. You know I didn’t mean it. Okay, I love you. I’ll talk to you later.”

Mendeecees hung up the phone, then set it on the dresser along with his chains and watches. When he removed his shirt, I admired his tattoos. I stood there, watching with my hand gripping the front of my towel. He chuckled when he got close to me.

“If I hadn’t seen pictures of your daughter, I would think you were a virgin. Why are you over here looking all scared and shit? I’m not gonna hurt you.” He grinned, showing his pretty white teeth. When he removed his grills earlier, I was pleasantly surprised to see his teeth were perfectly white and straight.

“It’s been a while. Besides, I’m waiting for your wife or baby mama to come bursting through the door, ready to fight me,” I joked, even though I wouldn’t have been surprised. I’d heard nothing but horror stories when it came to dating rappers, and Mendeecees fit the description for a playboy with hoes in different area codes.

“Yeah, right. What kind of nigga do you take me for?”

“One who breathes. I’ll never put anything past a man with a beating heart and lungs to lie with.”

Mendeecees chuckled, but I meant what I said. Growing up around my brother and his friends, I learned how smooth and manipulative men could be.

“You don’t have anything to worry about. I’m all about you and trying to get to know you better. Now enough with all the talking. I need to taste your pussy. That little sample in the club wasn’t enough.”
