When I pulled up in front of his place, I patted his arm. “Sammy, you’re home.”
“Hmmm?” He rolled his head toward me and opened his eyes. “I fell asleep?”
“You did.”
“Please tell me I didn’t snore.”
“Not at all,” I lied. “Thank you for coming out with me.”
“Thank you. It was the most fun I’ve ever had.”
I walked him to his door. “Okay if I hug you?”
“Yes, please.” He snuggled into my chest and sighed. “Next time, maybe we can play?”
He didn’t need to explain that he didn’t mean like we’d played tonight.
“I’d like that.”
Chapter Eleven
Sammy
It was date night with Will, and we were going to Chained together for what I hoped would be the first and not the only time. We’d spent time together with Will as my daddy when I’d asked him to pretend for the day. He’d done great and helped me through a difficult time, but this was different. Tonight was all about fun.
We went on a big date since that weekend and it was great…wonderful even, but if we wanted to see if we were going to go anywhere with this relationship, and I really, really wanted to—we needed to see what it was like spending daddy/little time together.
We could’ve done that at home. A lot of people thought that was easier, but I disagreed. To me, it was easier to have it at Chained. Yes, all of my things were at home, but we would’ve had to establish all of our own boundaries and really have some serious conversations that we didn’t need to have just yet by spending a date night at the club.
There were already rules set in place for the little room. We didn’t need to start from scratch. On top of that, I wouldn’t fall into the little space in an atmosphere like that. Some littles could and did. I envied them, but I couldn’t. There was too much happening around me. I always had fun, but it hit differently than playing at home. Being here was definitely the best option for us.
I packed my little clothes and said goodbye to CB, who came home with me from the cabin. That had been a difficult decision. CB was a designated stuffie for my time at the cabin, but also, I didn’t want him being lonely there. When I drove off with him in the passenger seat, I promised him he could come back and stayat the cabin if we decided he didn’t belong at my house. He was staying with me, no matter which place I was in.
Will was picking me up for this date, and the wait was already killing me. It didn’t help that I was ready an hour early. In my worry that I’d be late, I overcompensated like a boss and wound up with the opposite problem.
One minute dragged to two. It was ridiculous. At this rate, the hour was going to feel like a week.
I’m about to go on a date.I shot Brock a quick text, and he immediately called back.
“I need all the information. Is this the daddy who found your boat?” He knew about the cabin and about our dinner, but I hadn’t told him about going to Chained yet, for no reason other than we hadn’t talked yet.
I told him my plans and about the outfit I’d picked for the night. He told me about how well he did on his big project and how he’d been nominated for an award. We both agreed a raise was better. When we hung up, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect.
Daddy knocked on the door as I was sliding my phone into my pocket.
“I got you something.” He handed me a small gift bag.
“Thanks.” I reached inside to find a set of drawing pencils, nice ones at that.
One thing about Will, he paid attention to the small details. I appreciated that about him. Who was I kidding? I appreciated a lot about him.
The parking lot was pretty full when we pulled into the club, but he managed to get us a pretty decent spot, and, after we checked in, he waited for me outside the changing room. This was our first time, and we weren’t ready to jump in with a changing room. Maybe next time.
I wore a onesie with a teddy bear on it. I picked it out because it reminded me of CB, and the embroidery was teal, my favorite color. I paired it with pajama pants, nothing too fancy or too cute and easy to move around in. I could go full adorable next time. Tonight was all about testing the waters.
When I came out, he was waiting there for me. “Ready to go play?”
I nodded. “Can I call you Daddy tonight?”
