"Yes," she said, "though I fear there is very little left of the night. I have a lodge, though, and I think it is closer to here than yours is."
"And, you share it with another," he reminded her. "Besides, it is better you come to mine. All the people will then know we are truly married, not simply trapped with one another in a passion which would be satisfied and, once done, would be over.Saa,for all our lives, we are married."
"Yes," she cried. Then she repeated, "For all our lives, we are married. It is the start of our lives together."
He sighed as he brought her closer into his embrace. He kissed her cheek and her ear, and then, rising up, carried her toward the pile of her clothing.
He handed her dress to her and said, "Wear this only. The rest we will carry."
"But, why?"
"The dress comes off quickly, and I intend we should be naked with each other all through the night."
Her only answer was a giggle.
