Alex

Asking Savannah into my office was not smart. As Brayden would say, I was thinking with my dick, not my head. And I certainly didn’t plan on kissing her in my office today. I left her apartment with every intention of keeping my distance and maintaining strict professional boundaries with her here.

Then she walked in, wearing that tight skirt and a blouse the same color purple as those damn lace panties from the photograph, and all of my best intentions went out the window, along with my self-control.

Yet, here we are, behind closed doors, with my business partner and employees just on the other side of a wall. It’s wrong, I know it is, but I don’t give a damn when I have her curves in my arms.

Keeping a tight hold on her, and never breaking our kiss, I walk us backwards until we reach my desk. One hand sweeps blindly behind my back to clear a space, then I spin Savannah around and lift her up onto it.

Her legs fall open and she moans as I step in and bend down to kiss her neck, sucking gently. I want to mark her, God do I ever, but I won’t.

“Alex,” she murmurs softly as her hands hold my head in place.

I let out a rumble of agreement as my mouth travels down the column of her neck to where her blouse falls open. I tug it to the side, just enough to expose her collarbone. My lips continue their path of devastation. I’m lost in her, to the sensation of her skin under my touch, the smell of her delicate perfume, and the sound of her little gasps and moans. She’s trying to hold back, trying not to make too much noise, and I wish we were anywhere but here, because I want to hear her come undone beneath my hands.

My hands have made their way to her waist, and slowly travel up until I’m cupping her luscious tits in my hands. She’s perfect. I let my lips travel down the valley between her breasts until I’m stopped by her blouse. I want nothing more than to unbutton her shirt and take them in my mouth, but I won’t. I can’t. This has already gone too far for the goddamn office.

Even though it feels physically painful to do so, I pull back and turn away slightly. My cock is throbbing in my pants, angry at being confined.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to go that far.” I can’t meet her eyes, but I hear her slide off my desk and take a step forward until she’s in front of me.

“I’m not sorry.” She whispers the words, but I hear them loud and clear, just as I hear the greedy lust in her voice.

“Savannah.” My voice cracks as my fingers brush her hair behind her ears. I love that she doesn’t tie it back at the office. I’ve imagined running my hands through her soft waves, and for a brief second, I consider giving in to this desire now. But my fucking self-control wins out.

“A date first,” I say firmly.

“Umm, okay,” Savannah replies breathlessly, the lust that is still apparent in her voice doing things to me that are definitely not workplace appropriate.

“I’m taking you out for a proper date. Tomorrow night. I’ll pick you up at eight.” My voice sounds husky to my ears, and judging by the widening of her eyes, Savannah likes it.

I escort her to my office door, then with a glance to make sure she’s collected herself, I open it.

“Thank you for that enlightening discussion, Savannah.” I say, my voice raised just slightly. She rolls her eyes at me, but there’s a small smile twitching at her lips. I lean down and lower my voice to a hoarse whisper. “Wear the purple lace on Friday, love.”

She pauses mid-step and I see her shoulders lift up and down, then she casts a small glance my way, full of promise. My eyes follow her as she goes to her desk and sits down; only then do I go back into my office. I wish like hell I had a private bathroom to take care of my aching cock, but a simple adjustment is going to have to do.

Just as I settle in behind my desk to try and accomplish some work, Brayden walks in and sits down in front of me. His lips are pursed, as his knee bounces up and down. I know what’s coming.

“What are you doing, Alex?” he asks in a low voice.

It’s clear he’s talking about Savannah.

“I’m taking her on a date this Friday,” I reply, keeping my response calm and to the point. There’s no sense in lying.

His leg stops bouncing. “You don’t date.”

“With her, I do.”

Brayden drops his head down into his hands before he replies. “Can’t you wait until she finishes her investigation for us? Jesus, Alex. Just keep your fucking dick in your pants for a few more weeks until she isn’t working for our goddamn company.”

My temper flares. “Look, mate. Just because ofonewoman not understanding where things stood, you think I’m some lothario who’s just going to fuck her and then walk away. It’s different with Savannah. I’m different.”

Brayden stares at me closely. I know he’s checking to see if I’m telling the truth, and I hope he can see that I am. I’ll still date Savannah, regardless of how he feels, but I don’t want a woman to come between our friendship or our business partnership.

“Christ, Alex, of all the women in Manhattan, you had to go and fall for her.”
