Callie replied with the truth that came straight from her heart. “Haven’t you figured it out yet? Home is wherever you are, Jake.”

Chapter 20

Christmas morning dawned, sunny and crystalline with fresh snow on the ground. Callie slowly awoke, to the feel of Jake pressing gentle kisses to her neck and shoulders. She stretched languorously, aware of the rigid heat of his erection pressing into her lower back. She loved waking up each morning next to Jake, and still marveled that this was now her life.

The past few weeks had been a flurry of activity as Callie listed her apartment for sale, packed up her belongings, and moved into Jake’s beautiful home. Their furniture had blended perfectly, and Fred had already settled in. Their decision to move in together had been an easy one. As soon as Callie told Jake about her confrontation with her parents, he begged her to not make him go another day without being able to kiss her and tell her how much he loved her. The depth of his connection and commitment was more than Callie had ever felt before, and she knew she would never find it with anyone other than Jake.

The Lucky Strike continued to be busy, but it was close enough to the hospital that she was able to stop by after most of her shifts for a beer and a kiss. Their schedules were hectic, but everything that had happened only emphasized to Jake and Callie how important it was to savor every moment they could find to love one another.

“Good morning, Gorgeous…” Jake’s sexy morning voice rumbled in her ear, interrupting her musings over the wild journey of the past few months.

“Merry Christmas, babe.” Callie turned over to press a kiss to Jake’s lips, then shrieked as he quickly flipped her onto her back and leaned over her with a look that was a perfect mix of intense lust and deep adoration. Her shriek turned into a moan as he leaned in and sucked her nipple into his mouth. As Jake moved down her body, kissing and nipping her in all her sensitive spots, Callie writhed under his touch. When he settled between her legs and pressed a hot kiss onto her clit, her hips thrust up to meet his face.

“Oh god, you certainly do know how to wake a girl up.”

Jake’s head popped up with a sexy smirk on his face. “I’m hungry and you’re my favorite breakfast. Now be quiet and let me eat you.”

Callie laughed at his words; how could he make such a crude statement sound so damn sexy. But that laugh ended on a gasp when Jake plunged his tongue inside her slippery channel, moving in and out, mimicking the moves he made with his cock. Callie moaned as she felt the tension coiling deep inside. And when he added first one finger, then two, and curled them around to hit her on that perfect spot, Callie exploded within seconds into an orgasm that felt like fourth of July fireworks going off inside her. When she came down from the high, she opened her eyes to see Jake staring down at her with a wondrous look on his face. “Damn, you’re beautiful when you let go.”

Callie’s eyes danced as she pushed Jake over onto his back and straddled his legs. “It helps that you’re pretty much an expert in making that happen. Now it’s my turn. All that excitement made me hungry too.”

With a heated look she leaned down and licked Jake’s long cock from base to tip, swirling around the top. As her hand squeezed gently, a drop of pre-cum came out, which Callie lapped up with a hum of approval. Jake lifted his head to watch her for a moment, but when she took his length in her mouth as deep as she could, his head fell back on the pillow with a moan. “Damnit, Callie. Your mouth feels like heaven.”

Callie worked him up and down, the slick heat from her mouth making her hand slide easily along his cock. She could feel Jake’s cock swell even larger in her mouth, and knew he was close to orgasm. Without a word of warning, he sat up and pulled Callie into his lap, kissing her like he needed her in order to live. Neither one of them said a word as Jake lifted Callie up and slid her down onto his bare cock, letting their bodies find the rhythm of their passion. They’d gone without protection a few times, secure enough in their relationship to take that next step. Every touch felt like fire, branding them with their love. As Jake thrust up into her channel, and her wet heat held him tightly, she knew without a doubt that this was the connection she had been waiting for her entire life. This amazing man, the passion and deep love between them, this was what dreams were made of.

When his cock grew impossibly thick inside of Callie, the delicious friction pushed her closer and closer to her climax. Jake sensed this, and sped up his movements, until they soared together into the bliss of orgasm.

Some time later, they were still entwined, cuddling in a post-coital daze. Eventually, Jake propped up on his elbow to look down at Callie.

“Well, delicious as that was, I’m getting hungry for some actual food. How about some omelets before I bring you back here for dessert?”

Callie grinned, as she climbed out of bed and pulled on her underwear and one of Jake’s shirts as she said, “Sounds good to me, we’ll need some energy for what I’m thinking we could do later…”

A growl came from Jake’s chest, and his arm snaked out to try and pull her back to the bed. “You keep talking like that and maybe I won’t let you out of this bed.”

With a shriek Callie swatted his arm and danced out of reach. “Nope, no way, I’m hungry and we need to open Christmas presents.”

Jake smiled, love evident in his gaze and in his voice when he said, “The only present I need is you Callie.”

“Oh, okay, so I’ll just return the lingerie I bought to wear tonight as part of your present,” Callie teased Jake over her shoulder as she headed to the kitchen.

Jake jumped out of bed, pulled on the grey sweatpants that drove Callie wild and quickly caught up to her. He swept her into his arms and whispered in her ear, “Well, maybe keep the lingerie.”

Callie giggled as they walked into the kitchen. She had never experienced a Christmas full of happiness and love. In the past Callie would wake up alone on Christmas morning, have a quick chat on FaceTime with Reagan who was usually busy with her family, and then she would have to get ready to go and have a formal dinner with her parents. This year, she hadn’t spoken to Philip or Laura in weeks, and had no intention of connecting with them until they showed some sign of remorse for how they had treated her for her entire life.

No, Callie didn’t need or want the stress of her parents today. This Christmas was going to be filled with joy, laughter and love. Hopefully, it would be the first of many holidays spent that way.

They went about their usual morning routine, with Jake turning on the coffee maker and Callie filling the kettle for her tea, a comfortable silence between them. It seemed as if this had been their life for years, not just a few weeks. Just as Callie opened the fridge to see what fruit they had to go with breakfast, there was a knock at the door. She looked at Jake quizzically.

“Who could that be? Ryan and Reagan aren’t coming over for lunch until noon.”

Jake shrugged, but wouldn’t meet her eyes, busying himself with making coffee. “No idea. You want to grab the door while I start the omelets?”

“Okay, but don’t forget to add some cheese to mine please!”

Callie pressed a quick kiss to Jake’s cheek, unable to walk past him without touching him in some way, then headed down the hall towards the front door. She opened the door and was surprised to see Reagan standing there with a big grin on her face and a plate of fresh, warm cinnamon buns. “Reags, what on earth are you doing here so early?”

“I’m just playing Santa Claus and dropping off part of your breakfast. I wouldn’t miss this for the world.”
