I lean down, careful not to hurt her, and press kisses to the side of her neck while we catch our breath. I don’t bother pulling my cock out either. That motherfucker wants to live inside her now, and I’ll gladly let it.
We stay like this for a long time before I decide to let her up. I pull out and groan, missing her heat. I climb off the couch and look down at her, sated and happy.
She turns her head and opens her eyes, locking them with my own.
“I’m going to love doing that to you,” I tell her. A smile slips across her face, and not one of her usual fake smiles, either. This one is genuine, real, raw. This is her happy. Not something that she’s always had.
Caydence sits up and covers her chest, but I just laugh and reach for her hands, pulling them away.
“Don’t hide anything from me. I want it all.”
“What is this? What are we doing?” she asks softly.
“I told you you were mine. This is me staking my claim.”
“Staking claim?” she asks.
“Yeah, baby. Just like in your books. I’m staking my claim.” She tilts her head to the side, her smile slowly fading for a second before coming back again.
“Are you sure about this?”
“That I want you? Yeah, I’m sure.”
“But don’t you have other girls?” she asks. I shake my head.
“Listen, most of the girls you see are just money chasers. They know what I have, and they want it. They don’t give a shit about me.”
“I’m sorry,” she whispers.
“Don’t be. You’ve never looked at me the way they do, Caydence. That’s part of why I like you.” It isn’t a lie. Caydence has never looked at me the way they do. Like if they could just charm their way into my life, I would wife them up, and they’d have it all. In fact, Caydence has never really looked at me at all.
“I’m not like that,” she says.
“I know that.” I hold out my hand, and she takes it as I help her to her feet. Then I begin collecting our clothes and helping her back into hers.
“You want to grab something to eat?” I ask her as we both dress.
“It’s two in the morning,” she laughs.
“Early breakfast,” I tell her. She laughs, and it steals the fucking air from my lungs.
“Sure. That’d be nice.”
