“Don’t.”
I don’t take my eyes off her as I grin at Callahan. The little pup has grown fond of her. We all know it.
“And what is it I should not be doing, Armani?” I taunt.
I can feel his heated glare on the side of my head. Despite being two inches taller than the devil, Callahan ranks a decimal point higher in power than me. And I’ve seen his training with Varian. He’s not as brutal as Thorne or I am, but he is just as calculated.
“Leave her alone until Thorne is done with her,” he mutters, though not meekly.
“Thorne isn’t the boss of me, devil.”
I can feel his frustration but he doesn’t say anything to that. He’s technically a decimal point higher than Thorne too. Being a devil has its perks, even as a young one.
“D’etre is on her somewhere. I can feel him”
I hum and scan her backside as her and her friends walk deeper into the house. He’s probably shifted as some sort of small animal wrapped around her. Lucky bastard. I didn’t even know he was back.
Leaving Callahan, I follow after her. Entering the throng of drunk people where the majority of the party is. Flashing lasers and strobe lights the only illumination. For most races the dark isn’t that much of a problem, but most of the races here are smashed. As the little troublemaker will be soon enough. Thorne wanted me to make sure of that.
I track her as she weaves in with her friends. They’re the same three who were with her in the infirmary. The two mages and the vampyr. Though that vampyr should still be bedridden. I had watched Thorne beat him into near oblivion this morning. He infected him with his blood which should have made it so it would have taken weeks for him to fully recover.
Yet here he is, not a scratch on him.
Thorne won’t be pleased with that. I grin at that. The blood demon likes to play boss.
Though I guess it doesn’t much matter now since she’s here. Right into the pit of vipers.
They push through the crowd towards where the serving hatch is that is currently acting as a bar. There’s a line but the vampyr pushes through. As a member of Stone House he gets first pick over everyone else.
He greets one of the bartenders for the night and gets served four drinks. The other three he hands to the girls and I watch as little miss trouble takes a sip. While her friend who had been screaming at Thorne earlier this week winces and coughs, the girl simply raises a brow at her while slowly sipping.
I know damn well Thorne told the guys not to be stingy with the drinks, so the mage’s reaction is valid. Even her sister makes a face, but trouble drinks it like ninety percent of it shouldn’t be burning down your throat.
I sip my own drink and revel in the burn. If she didn’t react to the drink then that would lead one to assume she’s drank strong stuff before. Meaning getting her traditionally drunk could pose as a problem. I took precautions anyway.
They start heading towards another room that isn’t as hectic as the first. The lights are still dimmed though more people are sitting and conversing or straight up making out. I wouldn’t mind joining, maybe with a certain rosy eyed troublemaker.
My dick jumps as I imagine her kneeled before me. Rosy eyes watering, cheeks flushed, red lips stretched over –
“Don’t get distracted.”
Holy fuck, can a guy not just finish one damn –
“Darian,” Thorn snaps. Interrupting my thought again. I think I’m about to pummel my best friend. “I can’t have her saying no to me, I need to taste her blood.”
I growl at him. “Don’t get your fucking panties in a twist. I’m watching her, I got it.”
“Really?” He raises a brow at me before glancing down. “Because it looks to me like you’re getting distracted.”
I roll my eyes. “If it makes you happy I’ll get her drunk enough before I fuck her. To make it easier you can just be in the room and bite here when my dick is shoved down her throat. She won’t be able to say no then.”
He doesn’t say anything for a moment and turns to watch her. I watch the moment he locks his eyes on Ruleten and I grin as his eyes narrow at him. I’m sure he was expecting the vampyr to be bedridden for at least a week. No one can withstand the power of a blood demons blood.
“I don’t care how you do it, just do it.”
Then he walks away and I start moving towards them. Ruleten sees me first and nudges his girlfriend. Her back is to me and instead of being discreet or cautious she whips around and levels a glare I’m sure most people wouldn’t want thrown their way.
The scent of salt needles my nose, but the closer I get to them the more of that sweet scent from Trouble I get. Despite having to see when her friend whipped around, little miss trouble keeps her back to me. Her hips sway slightly to the bass as she sips her drink. The colors in her hair glinting every so often under the lights.
