Ripper

I had one thought on my mind... getting to her and being her shield.

Fire.

Pain.

Fire.

Pain.

Those were the two feelings that assaulted my body until I finally spotted her.

I threw my body on top of hers—just in fucking time.

***

Blackness coated my vision.

Chapter 27

Storm

I glared at the blood that stained my hands.

Then I looked at Creedence, who was covered in his blood.

I winced when the medical staff tried to approach her, and she screeched at them.

Red

I watched as they tried to calm Creedence down, but she was having none of it.

Cason

I dropped my head as I had one thought.

I’d been right there.

If I had dove in front of Creedence, then Ripper wouldn’t have raced to her side, and he wouldn’t have been shot as many times as he was.

Tank

If Creedence hadn’t earned our respect before now... well, she just got it.

In spades.

“He’s mine. His blood is mine. It’s not coming off until he comes back to me,” she growled.

Gravel

I started to move toward them to help, but Garret was already moving in.

I’ve never loved anyone like Ripper loves her.

And I’ve never seen a woman so devoted to a man before.

Damn... but that must be something.
