Chapter 19

Arizona

Levi’shugswerepuremagic, and hours later, I could still feel his strong arms wrapped around me. But the downside was that the lingering warmth of his touch had migrated south, becoming a pulsing need between my thighs that demanded release.

And it wasn’t like I could take care of business with the man himself asleep beside me.

Achy and overheated, I couldn’t lie still, tossing and turning until I grew so frustrated that I flung the covers off with a huff.

There was a rustling of sheets from the other side of the pillow wall, then came Levi’s sleep-roughened voice. “Everything all right over there?”

“Just peachy,” I muttered through gritted teeth.

A chuckle sounded from my bedpartner. “You won’t be winning an award for your acting skills any time soon.”

Levi shifted so that he was propped up on one elbow to peek over the mountain of pillows between us. My eyes were adjustedenough to the darkness that I could see the creases lining his forehead.

“Talk to me, Arizona. Tell me how I can help.”

I groaned, throwing an arm over my eyes. “I want—No, I need—”

Hell, I couldn’t even bring myself to say it. Because the second I did, everything would change.

The mattress dipped, and I uncovered my eyes to find Levi on his feet. He bent over to pull on a pair of sweatpants. “Whatever it is, I’ll get it for you.”

I almost laughed out loud.

Screw it. What’s the worst that could happen? He gives me a screaming orgasm that sends me into a coma until the sun comes up?

Whisper-quiet, I confessed, “You.”

Levi was across the room, his back to me as he tugged on a T-shirt. “Yeah, me. I’m sure I can find a twenty-four-hour pharmacy. Just tell me what we’re dealing with so I can grab the right meds. Fever? Cramps? Stomachache?”

He still didn’t get it.

Fine, I guess I’d have to spell it out for him.

I sat up in bed. “I’m horny, Levi.”

Pretty sure we both stopped breathing after I dropped that bomb.

Slowly, the man I married turned around, his eyes wide. His audible swallow was deafening in the silence. “H-horny?”

My chin dipped in the tiniest of nods. “Yes. If I don’t get off, I won’t be able to sleep tonight. So if the offer still stands for you to get me whatever I need . . .”

His chest heaved. “You need me to buy you a vibrator?”

An aggravated scream clawed its way up my throat. “No! I need you to fuck me until I pass out!”

Levi’s jaw dropped, as did my gaze to find his hard dick tenting the front of his sweats.

Clearing his throat wasn’t enough to eliminate the huskiness that colored his words. “Please tell me you’re not messing with me. Because I’m pretty sure I’ve maxed out my quota of cold showers for the year.”

I climbed out of bed, stepping toward where he stood rooted to the spot after my confession. Pressing a palm to the center of his chest, I could feel the racing rhythm of his heart. Going for broke, I slid my touch downward. His abs contracted as I skated over them, and the throatiest groan spilled into the heated air when I rubbed over his straining erection.

“Fuck, baby. Don’t stop,” Levi panted, grinding against my hand.

We were past the point of no return. I couldn’t stop now even if I wanted to.
