I didn't want this moment to end, didn't want to stop feeling close to Nolan, didn't want to stop touching him.

But everything ended at some point, and with another slide of his hand, I was gone. I clung to him as I came, my grip tight around his length.

Nolan fucked into my hand as I covered his in cum. He grunted, and thick, hot cum spilled over my hand, his body hard and unyielding over mine.

We hung there for a moment, both of us panting as we caught our breaths. I gazed up into his warm green eyes, and I smiled.

Nolan

Zamir had never looked more beautiful than he did now, with his hair a mess and his lips red and swollen.

I knew we'd need to get cleaned up soon, but for now, I settled beside Zamir, and smiled when he instantly curled into my chest.

With my clean hand, I traced the red and orange marks on his skin. They reacted to my touch, like they recognized me, and it made me smile.

"I hated them, you know," Zamir murmured, drawing my gaze to his.

"Hated what?"

"The marks. It felt like they were there to tell people what I was, proof that I was a parasite, a monster."

His eyes drifted away to somewhere I couldn't follow him, and I pressed closer to him.

"That's why I always wear turtlenecks. I don't like people seeing. Or, well, I didn't," he amended as his eyes flickered back to me, then to his own chest.

He touched the marks, a soft look on his face. "Your marks are different. They... they make me feel like I belong."

I didn't know what to say. Despite my old age and many experiences, I had no idea what to say.

Instead, I dipped my head and brushed my lips over the red streak closest to me, then over his lips.

Our kiss was soft and warm, like the rays of the rising sun, or fresh bread just out of the oven, and I sank into it.

The sound of nails scraping against the locked door made Zamir laugh, and he pulled back, his brown eyes twinkling.

"Let's get cleaned up."

I led him into the connected bathroom, and we washed up in silence before returning to the bedroom.

Zamir slid under the covers, then gestured toward the door. "You should let them in. They sound sad."

"They're acting," I assured him, but I still unlocked the door. I didn't open it all the way, because I knew the dogs would hog the bed if I didn't get there first.

As I climbed in beside Zamir, Muffin and Clip pushed the door open and hurried onto the bed with Pebble right on their heels. The three jumped onto the bed like they belonged there, while the chickens watched from the doorway.

"Hey, you guys," Zamir said with a grin as Muffin covered his body with her own. He grabbed her head before she could lick his face, and she turned her head, trying to bite his hand.

"How's Dots?" I asked as Pebble curled up between our pillows and Clip squeezed herself between us.

"He's good. What are you doing tomorrow? Maybe you could come see him and meet my friends too?"

"You want me to?" Zamir nodded, and I smiled. "I'd love to. I'll come by tomorrow after breakfast?"

"Perfect. I can't wait for you to see my home."

I wanted to see the inside of the Sanctuary too, and being there would also help me figure out if I could actually help with their issues.

"Me too. Would you like to come to the bar with me later?" Last time, he was there as a patron, but this time, I wanted to show him around and introduce him to Sofia. I hadn't told her about Zamir yet, hadn't had the chance to.

Zamir brightened. "Can I stand behind the counter?"

"You can stand wherever you want," I assured him, and he grinned.

"Then yes, I want to."

With that settled, we turned our attention to my needy fur children, and chatted until the sun dipped low in the sky, only leaving the coziness of the bed when it was time to head to The Lair.
