“Where are my clothes?”

Koa took the few steps to get to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

“We put you in one of our shirts. You wouldn’t have been comfortable in those clothes.”

She tried to take a step away from him, but he tightened his grip.

“Are you telling me you two are the ones that undressed me?”she asked in agitated disbelief.

Koa bent and picked her back up again and took her to the bed, where he sat her down on the side before sitting next to her.Jon positioned himself on her other side.

They noticed the tremor of unease she tried to hide unsuccessfully.

Jon cupped her face.“First off, you need to know that there is no way in hell we’d ever hurt or disrespect you in any way.”

She bit her lip but calmed a bit at the look in his eyes.

“We were the ones to undress you because we would have never allowed anyone else to do it.”

“But why?”she asked wide-eyed.

Koa cupped her cheek and turned her head toward him.“We care about you, Mina.Very much. With that caring, we feel a certain level of possessiveness.”

“But we just met last night,” she said in disbelief.

Koa chuckled.“Actually, it has been close to three days ago.You slept for almost fifteen hours.”

Mina’s mouth dropped open.“I’ve never slept that long before in my life.No wonder I feel sluggish and weak.”

Jon grabbed hold of her hand.“We figured the stress at work, lack of sleep from the night we met, and the drug Jason gave you was causing it.Jason said not to worry. It was normal.”

“Jason is the one who gave me a shot?”

“Yeah,” Koa nodded.“He’s been a friend of ours for a long time. That’s why we allowed him close to you.”

“We also didn’t leave the room while he was here.”

That made her feel better for some reason. Was she already starting to trust them?
