“It’s different though. As you’ve pointed out, I had no experience with guys until you. I want to make sure it’s good for both of us. I don’t want to screw it up.”

And maybe it wasn’t only different because Skyler was a guy. Maybe it was different because what he felt for Skyler was different than anything he’d felt for anyone else before. Maybe it was because he was in—

“You won’t screw it up,” Skyler insisted. “And it’s on both of us to make it good. It’s not all on you. Even if you’re the one doing the… you know.”

“Fucking?” Trevor couldn’t resist giving him a teasing smirk.

Skyler’s cheeks turned adorably pink even though he’d said it himself a minute ago. “Shut up. But yes. It’s not all on you. I’m not expecting it to be perfect. I know it’s going to be messy, and it’ll probably hurt, but I want to be with you. I want it more than I’ve ever wanted anything in my life.”

“Even making it into the band?”

“Yes.”

Trevor’s mouth fell open in surprise. He was only joking, but wow. “Now that makes it even more pressure.”

“You’re impossible,”Skyler told him.

“Can we just wait until…” Until when? He didn’t know. But he did know that he didn’t want to do it right now, unprepared, the night before their tour started, with all the craziness of that in his head.

Skyler leaned down for a light kiss. “We can wait as long as you want.”

Before Trevor could express gratitude at his understanding, the sweet look on Skyler’s face morphed into something more devious.

“Even though I might die of blue balls before we actually get to have sex.”

Knowing he was just trying to rile him up, Trevor shook his head. “You’re so dramatic.”

“You love me.”

They both froze.

Skyler’s eyebrows shot up in panic and he slapped his hand over his own mouth with a loud thwack.

“I do,” Trevor said calmly, reaching to pull his hand down. It was easier than he thought it would be to admit. “God, Sky, I fucking love you.”

Skyler’s eyes lit up like a million shooting stars. “I love you too.”

Trevor kissed him. And kissed him. And kissed him.

Eventually Skyler pulled back, grinning. When he leaned in again, Trevor assumed he was going for another kiss, but he turned his head and bit on Trevor’s earlobe instead, tugging gently before letting it go. He whispered in Trevor’s ear, “And I hope you’ll remember that I love you when I’m doing everything in my power to make you regret the decision to wait.”

“Fucking hell, you’re a menace!”

“But you love me.”

Trevor kissed his forehead. “I love you.” He kissed his nose. “I love you.” His cheek. “I love you.” Other cheek. “I love you.” And finally, he kissed his lips.

Once again, their kisses went from sweet to heated. Realizing they were both hard again, Trevor resumed his earlier task of getting them off. Skyler went first with a shout that Trevor tried to swallow with his own mouth, hoping not to wake the other guys. The way Skyler’s fingers tightly clutched Trevor’s sides as Skyler trembled against him through the aftershocks sent Trevor tumbling over the edge too.

Afterward, once they’d cleaned up the mess and had settled next to each other under the covers, Skyler rolled over so he was half ontop of him and began drawing invisible patterns with his finger over Trevor’s chest. “When you get a tattoo is it going to be a surfboard?”

“Stop.”

“A wave?”

“You’re ridiculous.”

Skyler kissed his chest, then looked up at him, big green eyes shining happily. “You love me.”
