SKYLER JAMES SMASHES HEARTS WITH FIRST SOLO SINGLE “HEARTBREAK HONEY”
Skyler James, former member of global sensation boy band Boys Will Be Boys, has launched his solo career with a moody, melodic tearjerker that oozes heartbreak. James has been linked to many famous faces in the past, from country sweetheart Riley Rowland to bad girl Kiana Rodriguez, begging the question of who it was to break his poor heart badly enough to inspire this masterpiece.
The singer’s always been notoriously shy about discussing his personal relationships, so we probably shouldn’t expect an answer on this one. Ex-bandmate Trevor Blue refused to give us any insight—got a little testy with us, in fact—but he did have this to say about his once close friend’s new song: “I think he did an amazing job, and he’s got a huge career ahead of him.” Blue hopes to release his own solo album soon, but we’ve got to be honest, it sure will be difficult to top Skyler James.
“Heartbreak Honey” is number one on the charts, and James’ self-titled debut album is set to release in two weeks. Whichever woman this song is about, we bet she’s having some serious regrets right about now.
