When she finally slumped against my chest, she snuggled into my pec and breathed a sigh of relief. “Surely this has to pass, right? I have to say, though, my ass has never been this firm. All this boisterous sex is really good cardio.”
We’d upgraded the bed to fit three people, but we really needed a bigger apartment. It barely fit three people, let alone all of us and a baby. Elsie wouldn’t hear of it though, as if moving and setting up a nursery would be tempting fate.
I held her close to my side. I was an asshole because I was happy this had happened, even though it turned everyone’s life upside down. Without the baby, I’d be back in Hell, miserable and alone, and not in bed with two people who I… strongly desired and had great affection for.
Cough. Love. Cough.
Ukobach’s hand was on her hip, tracing tiny circles. Verrik appeared in my peripheral vision, waving wildly. I stared at my angrier tentacle, and Elsie frowned. “What’s wrong with Verrik?”
Who was I kidding? I loved this woman. I’d been falling in love with her since the moment she sat beside me and asked me how I could be an incubus if I didn’t have a dick. No judgment. No fear. No derision. She didn’t think I was an entertaining fetish or something that was lesser. She just accepted me for me straight away. The fact that she knew the names of my different tentacles and when they were acting out of character told me everything I needed to know about the kind of person she was.
How could I not fall in love with someone like that?
Verrik curled, and I realized it was pointing at something down near where its tentacle met my torso. When I saw something glowing blue, I couldn’t help but smile.
Uko’s eyes followed Verrik’s flailing, and he winced. “Whoops.”
Elsie laughed, tracing the little glowing imp squiggle that had migrated to my flesh. “Welcome to the club. Enjoy your inferior demon STD.”
Verrik was displeased, and the little imp moved down to the tip of Nym, who was vibrating with happiness over a little imp friend taking up residence on it.
Ukobach shrugged, patting my other pec. “If you didn’t want a stray imp on your skin, then your tentacles shouldn’t play me like a one-man band during sex. Besides, now you’re stuck with us. You can run, but I’ll always be with you.” He dropped his voice to a husky whisper. “Always,” he said in a creepy, drawn out breath.
Laughing, I used my tentacles to reach over and hug him close too. “I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
CHAPTER
THIRTEEN
KRAX
SEVEN MONTHS LATER
“Well, this is unusual.”
That wasn’t what you wanted to hear when the woman you loved actually held your heart—and dick tentacle—in her hand at this very moment. We decided it was only fair that Hecto, and by extension me, received the brunt of her pain. Honestly, though, I’d take all the pain if I could.
I looked down where Doc was delivering my child—our child—in its egg sac. He was still curled in a perfect little ball, his tiny tentacles wrapped around himself as he sucked peacefully on his fist.
He was perfect.
“He’s beautiful,” Elsie murmured. I looked down at her, her hair stuck to her head, her cheeks red and blotchy from the exertion of birthing the soft kraken egg. It wasn’t much bigger than a large human baby, and honestly, it was a lot more flexible. Its bones would harden over the course of the first week.
“You’re beautiful. The most beautiful woman in this realm and every other. Of course your child would be the most perfect one to ever be born.” I cleared my throat and looked down atthe doctor. “When you cut the cord, the egg sac will rupture, and he’ll be born in the kraken sense.”
Doc did as I said, and the egg sac melted away. Two perfect blue eyes burst open, and our newborn baby looked around, then he opened his mouth and wailed so loudly, there was no doubt in my mind that he was healthy.
The doctor placed him on Elsie’s chest, and she looked down at the little creature we’d created together—my son. Elsie ran a hand up his back, and he looked so small in her arms. In mine, he’d be barely longer than my hand.
Doc did all his checks and then smiled. “He looks good. All his vitals are what I’d hope they’d be. Congrats, you have a bouncing baby boy.”
After staying a little longer and ensuring Elsie could nurse, Doc left, and it was once again just the three of us—no, wait, the four of us.
Elsie traced a hand over the baby’s arm. “Look at this.”
Staring down, I saw a softly glowing imp squiggle. How was that possible? “Looks like he’s a little bit my son too,” Ukobach joked softly.
I wrapped my arm around his shoulders. “More than a little bit your son. He’s all ours equally, always has been.”
