I shrugged, because I honestly didn’t know. I would have to just find someone in Hell to fuck on the regular. Emotions, feelings, and connection were all for people outside of Hell’s dominion. Soft feelings weren’t for the underworld. Searching for those things there was an exercise in futility, and it made me so…

A hand reached out and gripped mine. “Please don’t be sad.”

I huffed out a bitter laugh. “I’m not sad. It is what it is.”

Elsie laid her head on my shoulder. Her hair smelled like peaches, and the soft strands tickled my cheeks. “Doesn’t make it any better.”

She fell asleep like that, her head resting against my shoulder, and something inside me broke. This connection wasn’t something I’d ever experienced. The jealousy I felt for Ukobach, who had been nothing but kind, was like a monster in my chest.

I wanted to steal his life in the mortal realm with his perfect mortal girlfriend, but I couldn’t. “You’re lucky,” I told him softly when he appeared in the room, and he nodded. When he lookeddown at her, his expression was filled with pure love. Not that I’d ever seen that expression before, but deep down, I knew that was what it was—a love that could conquer even Hell.

“Luckier than I deserve,” he whispered as he bent down and scooped her up into his arms. I resisted the urge to snatch her back, to bask a little more in that connection. Instead, I sat there and watched Ukobach walk away, his perfect life in his arms.

He paused at the doorway to their room. “Come on. If you have to go back to Hell tomorrow, the least we can do is snuggle.”

I don’t think I’d ever snuggled in my life, but I was going to try right now. I wanted nothing more than to snuggle with Ukobach and Elsie.

He laid her down in the center of the bed, and she opened her eyes, blinking sleepily. “Oops, fell asleep,” she mumbled. At least that’s what I thought she said, but she sounded like she had a mouth full of cotton.

Uko stroked her cheek. “Mm-hmm, it’s okay. It’s late. Krax is going to lay with us, alright?”

She waved a hand, lifting the blankets behind her. “We’ll spoon.”

“Spooning?” I asked Ukobach, because she was already asleep again. That was not a term I’d ever heard.

He grinned. “The single best thing in the universe. I like to be the little spoon though, so I think Elsie will enjoy being the little spoon as well for once. Get in, get comfortable. I’m exhausted.”

I hesitated, but only for a moment. Staying on top of the blankets, I climbed in behind her. She automatically cuddled back against me, her mouth open, soft snores starting to echo around the room. She was cute as fuck.

Uko slid in front of her beneath the blankets, grabbing Elsie’s arm and slinging it over his waist with a happy sigh. “She’s beautiful, isn’t she?” I nodded, and he grinned. “Waituntil she really starts snoring. She sounds like a hellhound with flatulence.” He chuckled and turned, so she was curled around his back, and soon enough, he was asleep too.

I didn’t want to waste the time I had left here lost to dreams. Instead, I watched them sleep, sunk into the warmth of their too small bed and the press of Elsie’s body against mine. I listened as Elsie snored like a hellhound, or maybe one of the troll-like demons from the third circle. I stared at the ceiling, even as the sky lightened behind the sheer curtains. I watched the sunrise before my eyelids grew so heavy that I couldn’t keep them open anymore.

It wasn’t enough, but it would have to do.

Hushed moans woke me from my sleep. “Shh, be quiet now, sweet thing, or you’ll wake Krax.”

I looked from beneath my lashes to see Elsie, her head thrown back, biting her lip to keep herself quiet.

Ukobach was no longer on the other side of her, and if I was correct, he was actually beneath the blankets and between her thighs. “What if Krax wakes up?” she hissed.

“Either we feed his incubus side with our crazy pheromones, or he joins in and gets the meal of his life.” Another soft moan. “Oh, you like the idea of Krax joining in. You just soaked my face,” he teased, his voice muffled by her thighs. “You like the idea of him sliding one of those tentacles inside you while I suck your clit?”

Oh, Ukobach knew I was awake.

“Yes,” she whispered.

Ukobach shucked off the blanket like a magician doing a grand reveal, and I could see the glisten of Elsie’s juices spread across his cheeks. “Perfect. Krax, care to give me a hand?”

I shook my head at him, a smile on my face. He’d been planning this, I could tell. “You can have all six tentacles,” I promised them.

Smirking, he moved his mouth to her clit, making space for Hecto to slide up her leg. I watched her face for disgust or hesitation, but her eyes were bright with desire. She wanted this. She wanted me.

Hecto sucked on her juicy thighs, and I knew she’d have little round marks there tomorrow. I watched every tiny expression as I slipped the tip of my tentacle inside her. Well, my dick. Maybe I should have done this with Nym so it wasn’t so… overwhelming, but I was selfish. If I only got this one moment, then I was going to milk it for all it was worth.

“Fuck,” I breathed as I pushed farther inside her. She felt like Heaven, or what I assumed Heaven felt like. Perfect. Warm. Safe. Hot, so fucking hot. Satan’s twisty nipples, I was going to come if I didn’t pull back a little.

Ukobach was watching me intently as I slid in and out of Elsie, curling and stretching until she was filled with me. I slid my bulb up and down, pushing it in and out of her tight entrance until she jerked. “Krax!”
