Hmmm, interesting...

Next, Saxon pressed a kiss to the soft spot just under Rick’s ear, causing his man to squeeze his arms a little and let loose another of those hot as hell moans.

Fucking awesome,I intend to get very used to this.

“Go back to sleep, babe. We don’t have to be up for a while yet.” Rick’s sleepy whisper startled a very unmanly jump from Saxon.

“Have you been awake all along.” Saxon grumbled. So much for thinking he was this big shot operator, he couldn’t even sneak attack his own man with morning kisses.

Rick rolled them over so Saxon was under him and raised himself up onto his arms to look sleepily down at him.

“Mmm,” he sighed, before leaning down to kiss him gently on the lips.

As he did, their cock-blocking phones beeped.

Rick groaned and dropped down onto Saxon’s chest, snuggling his face into the side of his neck. “Does this mean we have to get up?”

Saxon reached for the cell and squinted at the message. “Mission is a go—so yeah, we have to get up.”

“I don’t know if I should be happy that something is happening, or if I should yell at your boss for cock blocking us.” He lifted off Saxon’s chest and placed both hands at either side of his head. Rick stretched out over him as if he was going to do a push-up. Then, locking his eyes onto Saxon’s, he let every ounce of the need and want he felt shine through, watching as Saxon’s pupils dilated as he lowered his head to claim his mouth for a morning kiss.

Rick slowly sucked Saxon’s bottom lip into his mouth, suckling it gently before drawing it between his teeth to pull on it. Then he pushed his tongue in past Saxon’s teeth, his man’s tongue wrapping around his, licking and curling around each other. Nipping gently at the corner of Saxon’s mouth, he pressed their lips together tenderly. Saxon wrapped his arm around Rick’s shoulders, forcing him to drop all of his weight on his chest, hugging him close.

“Good morning, R.”

“Morning, Sax.”

Before they left the room, Saxon caught Rick’s elbow and spun him so he could peer deep into his eyes. “You ready if Noble says you are active?”

“Yup.”

“If it’s what we think,” Saxon watched Rick’s eyes, wanting to see his reactions. “Then you swear you won’t take off?”

“I swear.”

“Good.” Saxon pressed a kiss to Rick’s forehead. “Together we’re stronger, we can face this, face your father. With me and my team at your six, we will get Joe McCarthy back. If we can manage to stop a terrorist attack while we’re at it, then that’s just a bonus.”

Rick swallowed past the lump in his throat, he nodded instead of speaking, afraid if he opened his mouth that his voice would wobble.

Saxon tugged him close, and he sank against his chest for one more hug. Saxon pulled back and opened the door, then waved Rick on ahead of him. “Let’s do this.”

Chapter Fourteen

“All right,”Noble unclipped his belt and moved off the seat on the cargo plane. Take off was done and the plane had leveled off. “I told y’all this was going to go fast as soon as authorization came down.” He held up his wrist, tapping the small coms computer strapped around it. “Max is sending intel to your devices.”

“I’m freaking jealous.” Rick took the computer out of the box Max had given him prior to take off. “We don’t have the bendable ones, just the WC2s.”

“These are the improved version of the WC2,” Max said. “It’s solar-powered, and the bendable computer screen wraps around your wrist, meaning it’s less likely to get caught on shit. We are testing it for instant data and radio transmissions. Y’all still will have our normal coms systems too.”

Max booted up the laptop he used as a foundation for their mobile TOC when on missions. He set it on the back of one of two pickup trucks tied down in the middle of the plane. It took less than a minute to send the information from his computer to the wrist computers. He cleared his throat. “First up.” He pressed a button on the laptop and the devices on the operators’ arms showed a photo.

“My father?” Rick asked.

“The man, the asshole.” Max agreed.

“Anyone who can put a hit on their kid, even if they don’t like that they screwed up in public,” Saxon muttered, “Is pretty much a dick in my book.”

Noble waved Saxon off, they didn’t have time for fuckhead measuring contests. They’d be here all week and never get to the important mission intel. “Four days ago, Ken Jones Sr. made a deal with Silvio Mancuso of the ‘Ndrangheta Mafia for one thousand civilian drones to be delivered to a location in Afghanistan in two days.” Noble told them. “Jones is to supply the drones in return for Rick’s dead body.”
